What size are they? I have wide shoulders

Mine are 46cm across Fine for my heavy coats

Do the metal hooks go all the way through the hanger..??

I checked 2 hangers and no they dont go all the way through, theres a hole drilled all the way through,but the actual metal hooks doesnt go all the way through,its inside tye actual woid but doesnt go right through till other end, hope this helps.
