sturdy and good quality
This sliding screen door is excellent quality. It just took me an hour to assembly. The frame made of heavy duty metal, feels sturdy and the screen was easy to fit in fram with provided tool. Easy to install, fit perfectly, and glides effortlessly every time I open or close it. No rattling, no sticking—just smooth, quiet operation. I’m very happy with the durability and value for the price. Highly recommended.

Relatively easy to construct - looks and feels sturdy - would buy again
So, we were a bit nervous about having ordered a sliding screen door that was delivered in a long cardboard tube but ............ It took the better part of an hour for the two of us to put it together and it's definitely not a job for one person only because the various pieces are awkward to hold. Instructions were pretty clear and the end result looks great. It's much sturdier than the door that it replaced and it slides with zero resistance. Like others we were a bit concerned whether the screen would be tight but it is perfect. The ONLY thing that I would add as an important piece --- and one that can save you a lot of time - is to ensure that you have a NUMBER TWO screwdriver as the screws are all designed for that specific size. (How many folks even know that there are different size phillips screwdrivers?).

Good door if you have extra screws and put in the mesh screen.
Was easy to assemble, had nice rollers, and is rather sturdy. Better than the one I bought from Lowes and returned. On the unintuitive side - The adjustment parts with rollers on the upper and lower sides are very wide (~4+ inches) when installed in the 82" door - what is the reason to specify different sizes? I expected more narrow frame extrusions. The Philips screws for assembly were impossible to screw in - used hex head screws instead. The door parts came in robust tube - but the edges on the ends of the frame parts were slightly bent - easy to fix with pliers. Overall, decent replacement door.

Paid for new and got opened damaged screen door kit
When ordering a kit like this, I rarely expect it to be pristine but I do expect that when I order a “new” kit, I get a new kit. However, I received a kit that was obviously opened before (see picture of one end “sealed” by two pieces of packing tape). Upon further inspection, I found one piece of the frame had a dent in it, package of screws had been ripped open, scratches on the paint of another piece of the frame, and the instructions were folded inside out (not that this part bothers me, it’s just another indicator that someone else had received this kit before me). As for the skills needed for putting the screen door together…moderate skills are needed. Having the right tools helps (I.e., long PH2 bit for drill driver, and one reg Philips screwdriver). When assembling the frame, use the standard Philips screwdriver to set the screw into the frame, then the drill driver to complete to process. Attach top and bottom pieces to one side piece first, then attach the other side piece. For the screen, I start at about 6” from one corner, working towards the closest corner. As you work the spline in, stretch it a bit as you work it to make it easier to push in with the roller. Work the roller slowly so it doesn’t jump out of the channel and potentially cut the screen. Frame of the screen door is sturdy. Wheels are a bit smaller than my older screen door but works well enough. Latch hardware is plastic so not expecting it to last long. I’ll probably look for 3rd party parts at some point. May also change the screen for one that is made for a house with pets. I would recommend this product but I can’t since I don’t want to recommend something where you might not get a “new” product.

Easier than I thought after reading the reviews
I hesitated buying this product because there were so many reviews on the screen ripping upon installation and incomprehensible instructions. Glad I didn't go off the reviews. I'm here to tell you (as a woman) how easy it is to construct this screen door. Probably the most challenging part for me was aligning it in my door frame, but this has nothing to do with the product or the instructions. If I could give any advice about the construction of the door, it would be not to stretch the screen so taught when installing it. It needs to be snug but not stretched thin. I would also like to add the frame is made of good quality metal. Better quality than the $99 screen doors you might find at your big box hardware stores. This is not a complaint but more of a wish...I would love to see this come in a tan color. I will be needing to paint mine, in the near future, to match my sliding glass door trim.

Does the job
It is nice that the height is adjustable, I need it to be 78 inches. The assembly is pretty simple, but one of the screw hole is stripped and only loosely holding its place. It uses two screws to lock that part of the frame in place, so lucky the 2nd screw was able to fasten tightly. Will see how it will hold up in the long term, as the overall frame is pretty sturdy. It took me 30 mins, as I had to redo it again to have the frame in reverse side due to alignment issue with my patio door. Because I reverse the side, the locking handle is not aligned, so it doesn't lock for me. Since I already assembled it, I don't want to deal with the hassle of taking it apart and shipping it back. The cost is pretty reasonable until you add the costly shipping. I do wish the shipping was done by Amazon, so it can be free. Overall, works for my need to have a screen door that can close and open to keep insects away.

Better than expected
Great build quality. Assembly was actually easier than I thought it would be. I had it fully assembled in under 30 minutes. And the screen is actually stretched pretty tight. I initially thought this would be an issue and it’d be loose. That’s not the case. It might actually be too tight. I’m sure it will loose over time. It fit perfectly in the slots of my old screen which is about 78” tall. The “spring” mechanism that allows tension to stay applied to fit multiple sized doors is great. I originally tried 2 different replacement screen doors from Home Depot and the quality of both of them were horrible and they would not stay installed in my track so I had to return them both. This item exceeds my expectations and is a much better build quality than the ones I bought from the store for about the same price. One thing I will note: The locking mechanism was loose on mine. The pivot pin was slid too far to one side which caused the opposite side to be loose. All you have to do is remove the 2 screws from the door latch mechanism and take the whole thing out to gain access. Slide the pin back center and reinstall the 2 screws. Literally took me 3 minutes to “fix”. Other than that it glides good and seems like it’ll last. I’ll report back if that changes.

Very solid well made screen highly recommend
Fantastic screen door, very well made. Do not buy the Home Depot ones, they are very poor quality. With living on the coast it's great that this one is aluminum, always have rust issues with steel. Great price also!!
