Does it work with redcat gen8?

As long as the plug is the same and is the correct voltage of 11.1v for your motor and esc it should work. I use them in rc jets and they work for me.

The dean's adapter in the package fits to male side of a dean's connector but does not connect to the battery's xt60. what am i missing?

Mine came with a yellow adapter that has two half circle prongs on the bottom that have to be turned to line up with the slots in the female deans. The flat side goes against the blade of the deans

How do you attach the dean plug adapter?

That’s not an adapter!! If you need to use the deans connector, the deans supplied, is to be soldered in place of the xt-60.. the half circle side is the side the negative and positive wire should be soldered to. Put shrink wrap in place before soldering. Do Not use that as an adapter!! If you put it together as an adapter as previous answer says, you run a huge risk of causing a fire!

Good, not great

Definitely high quality with wires and connection being long and well made, but the battery suffers from not having the best efficiency for capacity. The planes I fly normally can stay in the air with a 3s 2200mAh for around 20 min, but this only lasts 10-12 min. I would expect a little more for 14 bucks a battery, but still pretty good and doesn't seem to puff like others.

Only changed and discharged once and they seem decent. They are lighter and thinner than my other 2200 3s packs...flight times hopefully will be as good,have not tested yet.
