Installed it myself and it was a breeze. No issues whatsoever.

I installed this in my Freedom 1620 pop-up camper. It's plenty powerful and keeps the camper cool in any heat. Unit isn't very quiet, but I expect that it's as quiet as you can be for something that close to your ears :) Very easy to install, just put a cable through the side wall and an outlet on the roof and it's basically done. Simple to use with the appropriate inside control.

Unit is defective and does not work. After the annoyance of orders it, paying fir it, installing it and paying a repairman to service it. Don’t waste your time or money!

This comes from United RV Center and you have to work with them before you can return the item. Our Dominic AC unit came without the motor connected inside, so it is does not work. We had to call support before we could return it and were told our options are go to an RV repair center to have it fixed (this would take weeks to get in maybe months and we have no AC during the hot summer months), or return. So we are returning it but we have to wait until 2 days after they get it back to get a refund and we have to take if off the RV roof after getting it up there (not easy). So, if we want another one we have to buy it before we get the money back from this one. We also had to reach out to United RV Center to get a pre-paid label, if you just follow Amazon instructions you have to pay to return it.

This a/c really complements the existing ducted unit in the bedroom area of our 38 foot 5th wheel RV where there just was not enough cool air by the time it went the full length of that RV. With the exception of finding a way to get that unwieldy 90 pounds ~thirteen feet up, there was no real problem installing this unit with a pre-wired power source in the RV and the Dometic 3314851.000 non ducted ceiling kit. The only confusing part were that the instructions are pretty generic over about 8-10 similar but just a bit different models so you do have to pay attention to what you have.

Product works great got working today , blower is noisy just like I like ! ! The only problem is the CARRIER FAILED TO DELIVER TO PHYSICAL ADRESS . I'm a disabled retired person had to wait 2 days to get help to move. Please follow directions on shipping

It works like a champ and isn't overly noisy either. I was replacing an older Coleman OEM so I also needed to order the conversion kit (Dometic 3314537.000 Coleman Air Conditioner Conversion Kit Coleman) that takes wiring to Penguin II as well as the matching return vent (Dometic 3105935.047 Polar White Return Air Package Ducted Quick Cool Shell)... There may have been some wiring and bracketing I could have attempted but wanted a clean install and enjoy the cool shot feature of the new return!

This AC unit has a poor mounting design for the motor and fan unit. They use self-tapping screws threading into rubber grommets. The screws backed out after one hour of use and the fan jammed. I had to remove the top cover and remount the motor and fan assembly. Why they cheaped out and used screws instead of a bolt and nuts is beyond me. For the price of this unit, you would think they could afford three bolts and three nuts.
