Good fit good product
Feels soft and pliable as it should Clean the bowl Opened ball valve and cleaned around the old seal including the underside of the seal Removed the old seal by reaching underneath to dislodge it and then just pull it out Thoroughly cleaned the area where seal was including the groove Closec ball valve and cleaned the ball With ball valve still closed thoroughly lube new seal with plumbers silicon lubricant Places seal in bottom of bowl raised surface is top..flat surface is bottom Use fingers to work new seal into the groove Open ball valve and verify the seal is properly located Close ball valve Clean and lube surface ball valve Work the valve Put water in to verify seal does not leak Job done in 10 minutes OEM part fits and works like it should Old seal shows visible signs of wear/abrasion I think regular cleaning and lube will extend seal life. Also the old seal wasn't visibly broken. Upon close inspection the sealing surface showed abrasion and uneven wear. This is due to the action of the ball-valve seal surfaces and amount of circumference surface travel.

Works great for a Dometic 310
This seal was a perfect fit for my dometic 310 toilet in my RV. Installation was easy - the only potential issue is that you can't really feel when it is seated correctly, so I wasn't sure if it was really in place. I applied pressure all around to ensure it was in correctly. Once done I tested by adding some water to it. Where it would be gone in a matter of minutes now it has been holding for a few days. I didn't want to have to do this again any time soon, so I feel the extra cost for a OE part was worth it.

The unsung hero of RV plumbing
Itโs a toilet seal. Glamorous? No. Necessary? Absolutely. This little rubber ring is the MVP of keeping the stink where it belongs. Easy to installโjust pop out the old one, slap in the new one, and boom: you're back to flushing like a champ. Pro tip: wear gloves. This isnโt the time to test your immune system or your stomach. Also, keep a spare on hand. Trust me, you donโt want to discover a toilet seal emergency mid-camping trip. Nothing ruins a peaceful morning in nature like a malfunctioning throne. Five stars for function, zero stars for job glamour. Still, highly recommend.

More expensive, but they work first time!
Much more expensive than the cheap knock-offs, but these actually work! I installed it as per directions, included in the package, and it worked first time. After messing about with the cheaper ones, including hot water to soften it up, I gave up as they would not hold water in the bowel and opted for this Dometic seal; VERY GLAD I DID. I wasted a lot of time on the cheaper ones.

Dometic OEM Rv toilet seal.
I purchased the offbrand type of the RV toilet seal 2 pack. Neither one of them will hold water. I purchased this OEM one and it worked. The OEM version is considerably more money.

Changed my review
I am upping my review. We came back from a RV trip a month ago and yes the seal did not hold water. We parked the RV and put water in the bowl to reduce odor. Surprisingly, it has been holding water. I donโt know why but it now works, year ago I replaced my RV toilet with a new Dometic 300 series toilet. Less than 6 months later it would not hold water in the bowl. I bought some non-Dometic seals, that had good ratings. They failed. So I bit the bullet and paid $33 this Dometic seal. The seal came with good instructions, which I followed to the Letter. After install the water ran out of the bowel just as fast as the cheaper ones.

Strong and well made
I use these in my dometic toilet in our cottage. They seal well and last a long time. Best to lubricate them 2x a year. (I use Thetford Toilet Seal Lube)
