Mineral Tinted Sunscreen - Face Lotion SPF 30

I’ve been using this CeraVe sunscreen and I’m honestly impressed. The texture is lightweight and feels very comfortable on the skin—no greasy or heavy feeling at all. I love that it has a sheer tint because it helps even out my skin tone naturally without looking like makeup. It absorbs quickly and leaves a healthy, hydrated finish. It also hasn’t caused any irritation or breakouts, which is very important for me. Another plus is how moisturizing it feels compared to other sunscreens I’ve tried. Very nice mineral based sunscreen. I need mineral based sunscreen because I have tried many others, including Laura Geller & Neutrogena, which are nice but are irritating to my eyes & cause them to tear up. This CeraVe is nice and lightweight and are easy on my eyes. I usually wear light or medium shade products. Got this in Medium & it looks great. It is lightweight & provides a nice glow. I deducted one star because although it arrived in a box & looked nice & new, it didn't have a security seal on the tube.

I’ve tried this today for the first time, so I will update after a month. I selected the medium tone. It’s sheer enough and works perfectly. It blends in seamlessly and has a nice consistency, which seems to melt into the skin. I personally love the dewy finish! At 61, I prefer to wear much less foundation these days, however, my skin needs more coverage, thanks to the pesky sun spots. What a conundrum! As a Make-up Artist, I’ve always told my clients to take care of their skin first. It’s the foundation for everything and a reflection of your health and well being. As much as I love makeup and the way it can boost confidence and enhance natural beauty, the option to go makeup free can feel liberating. I still do use full cover foundation on occasions when I can’t go without, but for every day this tinted SPF lotion a great solution. It’s non comedogenic and the price is great. It does blend away some imperfections, however, if you have spots you want to cover, you may need to mix in a little bit of concealer here and there. I highly recommend trying it! The product is a lot thinner than other sunblocks. VERY creamy! The tint is sheer but it’s less sheer than I actually thought. Which is fine bc I’ll use it as more natural makeup in the summer time if I go anywhere. It’s not so much that you can tell either though! My sister who sees me every single day told me my skin looked “very youthful” today and didn’t know it was tinted spf. She had smelled my face when I wore another spf and had agreed the other one STUNK so badly but we didn’t smell anything on this one. I am fairly light but I got the medium based on reviews I searched for on tiktok. I figured the white cast would lighten it up somehow but there is NO WHITE CAST! But the color is still fine bc it isn’t chalky like la Roche posay tinted liquid spf. This is very natural! When I applied this product it looked SO SHINY. I almost regretted it…. But 20-30 min later (I applied it then immediately drove 15 min to my sisters house) the product had set and it has a much more natural and dewy but not crazy oily finish. I love it so far. I do consider myself to have very sensitive dry/combo skin and am in the process of repairing a damaged skin barrier. This didn’t itch or burn or anything. I did notice it started pulling after rubbing it in so much but I did kinda rush my morning routine this morning. I’ll update if it wasn’t my bad. Update: it’s been 5 hrs since I applied it. It’s definitely not going to be doubling as a moisturizer. I don’t feel like it’s dehydrated but it’s not moisturizing like other sun screen has been. But maybe just expected it to since it’s cerave but it’s not marketed as such. But that’s ok with me bc I’m more worried about the SPF part of the product. Shade: at first I didn’t notice bc I was just indoors…. But it has enough tint for someone to notice the change in skin tone between my face and body so now I’m going to need to order the light one

My understanding is that this is one of the safest and best quality sunscreens out there. All good so far. However, I find it necessary to apply a substantial amount of moisturizer before the sunscreen... let it sit for 2 mins or so then apply the sunscreen and kind of blend it into the moisturizer as you go. I also heard if you are fair skinned, which I am, to not go with the untinted as it is too chalky in color. The sheer tint works well on fair skin when used as I've described. Good Luck!
