Revlon Permanent Hair Color, Permanent Hair Dye, Total Color with 100% Gray Coverage, Clean & Vegan, 10 Black, 10.2 Oz

I’ve used Revlon ColortSilk #10 BLACK for many years. After trying Revlon Total Color I’m making the switch for good. I felt there was more product and the application was easy. I wasn’t bothered by the smell very mild no burning or itching during processing, no flaky dry scalp afterwards. I like how this black is a neutral tone base not Violet like ColorSilk. I have quite a few gray hairs around my temple that were completely covered. The color is a beautiful natural black not inky or flat. I got multiple tone and dimension with this color. I liked how well the conditioner worked but it didn’t smell that great. I colored my hair about a month ago and haven’t noticed any fading, but I only wash my hair three times a week and I only use sulfate free shampoo. Overall for the price the quality is great. I definitely recommend.

I have been using Revlon Colorsilk for 13 years. After trying numerous brands of black, it was the only true black I could find that did not fade to gray. I always noticed that after a couple of weeks, my hair would start to get frizzy until it was time to dye again. Two weeks it looked great, two weeks it looked ok...but always the right color. My hair grows fast, so I really could dye it every 3 weeks, but I make myself wait a month. I saw this advertised, and though it is twice as expensive...it is still very reasonably priced. I cut all the dead ends off my hair & gave it a shot. It has been more than a month since I dyed it, and though my blonde roots are showing and I need to dye again, my hair is just as nice & smooth as the day I first dyed it. I absolutely love the glossing cream that comes with it that you can use a little of each time you wash your hair. My hair feels healthier and looks great. I have found my new hair dye & I am not going back. If you are even considering it...try it!!

This was the first time I used this brand of hair color. The color (black) pay off was pretty good and has lasted about 4 weeks so far. While all drug store colors involve hair fall out it seems, I find there was a bit more hair fall out than usual with this one. I think sometimes when we see buzzwords "clean" "vegan", etc. we think it's better for our hair but honestly, I think this was a bit harsher on my hair than some of the other color brands I've used. So if you're looking for good color, longevity and ease of use, it may be a good buy. If you're concerned about hair fall out and being gentle to your hair, I would go for another option.

Made my hair black, what more can I say?

This is my new go-to to cover gray. I would give longevity about 3 stars, only because I purchased and used it a month ago and I already see gray creeping in down my middle part. But I love how clean this formulation is. I usually have a mild scalp reaction when I color but this one...NO IRRITATION OR BURNING at all. It was easy to use, smelled nice without being overbearing or too strong, and it provided excellent gray hair coverage for maybe 5 weeks. I can usually go 2 months before I see gray hair again. BTW, my usual haircolor product is also a Revlon, but over the years I've tried them all and I come back to Revlon because it gets the job done nicely for a reasonable price. I'm very happy with the vegan version even though it means I will need to do touch ups sooner. I think it's worth it for the piece of mind and healthier scalp!

The color is great and so is the scent but in less than 24hrs I have broke out bad red swollen blisters skin leaking pus and a terrible burning itching sensation. Contact dermatitis and chemical burns is what I have.

This was easy to use, but dried out my hair. It lasted for a couple of months.

I’ve been coloring my hair for 30 yrs and this has to be one of the very best products I’ve ever used. I’ve developed sensitivity and reactions to harsh dyes and colors and this one is very clean and natural. But unlike other natural products it actually covers greys , has lasting power and makes your hair feel healthy and shiny. Amazing product overall.

I have thin, dark hair therefore dyeing my hair causes me anxiety as I don't want to lose or damage what I have left. I have a few grey hairs towards my temples which could not go unnoticed. I very, very hesitantly used this product as it has great reviews and causes less damage to the hair. After using this product I have to say I am impressed. It made my hair feel and look luxurious and full. That was a complete surprise. It completely covered all my grays as well. Seriously waiting for it to be back in stock to use it again. The color lasted almost 2 months for me.

I was looking for hair color that was natural and least amount of chemicals. When I read it was vegan and ammonia free, I thought of giving it a try. I followed the instruction that came along with the package. I am allergic to PPD and my scalp gets really itchy within 24 hours. I should have tested it first. Regarding hair color, it started fading to dark brown within three days of application.

It was extremely bad experience using this. I had pretty bad reaction to it. My whole face was swollen, skin rashes appeared. My face was burning like fire. For those who are very sensitive skin, will not recommend it.
