Not sure what was the issue
I wonder how effective these ae since I was still having cord issues after replacing both ends. It almost seems like the connection on the phone was also a problem so I ended up replacing the phone.

Saved an old phone handset cord
I have some old phones, one of which needed a new handset cord, but I couldn't find one in just the right color. So I ordered some of these 4P4C ("RJ9") connectors and was able to replace the broken connector myself. Worked perfectly.

Worked Great
I had an issue with my RJ11 wires plug because the end wouldnt snap into place and would side out on my RV, I found these replacement plugs and snipped the end off the broken one, lined the colors up and used a special crimper that I borrowed from a friend and in 2 minutes I had a new plug end! Great Plug

These are RJ14 not RJ11. RJ14 are slightly narrower, but they worked for my application.
