You really can change colors!
I can't believe how well this dye covers - and even changes colors โ or how nice the finish looks with just a little effort. I have an old leather sofa that's about 8 feet long. It used to be dark green and it faded to teal. Didn't love the green. Hated it as faded teal, so it was worth a try. And it really exceeded all expectations. If you're on the fence, go for it. it is pretty easy to get a great result. It is an excellent value. Less than 2 jars will complete an 8-foot sofa. BIG PLUSES: Covers easily in 2 coats if going darker. Very easily covers bares spots or scratches. Hardly any odor. Subtle sheen similar to new leather. Dries quickly...and I live in a humid rainforest! Does not rub off after dry. Quality product. Easy clean with soap and water. MODEST weaknesses: Protective gloves are flimsy but do the job. One broke Foam applicators are just okay. They start out fine but collect some thickening dye as you go. Constant pressure can keep the dye from thickening inside foam which can result in an uneven finish. Keep semi-attached cushions separated until fully dry. Gaffers tape can hold cushions in different directions. The mink oil takes longer to penetrate the new finish than instructions indicate. And the mink oil can leave things too shiny and messy without a VERY good cleaning. TIPS: If you're dying darker, you can successfully (completely) change colors in 2 coats. If you have a larger project like a sofa, get yourself some cloth applicators and nitrile gloves to make the day easier. If you use the foam applicators, switch them out as soon as the inside dye thickens โ or your finish will be uneven. Let the mink oil sit longer than indicated to get through the new finish and into the leather. Then wipe with microfiber. Very mild soap and water on microfiber can remove the greasiness and excessive sheen of the mink oil. This is an exceptional product that delivers. Get it. See the before, during and after photos - then save that leather you used to love!

Worked as promisedโฆ
This product worked great on a leather couch. Good navy color match. Fairly easy to apply. After dry does not come off on clothing. Covered scratches and gave couch a new look. Would recommend.

Product worked great but didnโt get the exact color I hoped for after mixing 2 colors together.
I posted before & after pictures to show the worn areas on my chairs although I am not completely finished. I only applied 1 coat on the problem areas and may decide to do the whole chair. Or I may only apply a 2nd coat to the problem areas and blend it in. I also need to apply the recommended conditioner. The arms were especially bad. The chairs are a grey/brown color so I mixed the dark brown & light grey together. I really would rather have used the dark grey but unfortunately itโs out of stock. It was worth a try and the chairs look sooo much better and am glad I tried it! The color is more brown than I wanted but it works fine and itโs much better & cheaper than having to buy new chairs. I mixed the colors with a popsicle stick to the approximate color I wanted and applied it on one chair. I am pretty happy with it so far, it looks like a new chair even though itโs not the exact color I wanted. Side note: I let the chair dry for several days & just tested it to see if the color rubs off. It did come off the arm only, with a dry cloth when I rubbed it firmly, but it DIDNโT come off the rest of the cushion, etc. My guess is that the arm was more worn so I will just reapply another coat & I think that will do the trick. Also, I am hoping the conditioner will seal it in. Iโll update my review after I apply conditioner. The actual process is easy. There is no bad scent and it goes on nicely. I used the brush they supplied on the seams & welting & a cotton cloth on the rest only bc I forgot there was a sponge pad suppled. I will use the sponge to finish the rest of the chairs. Overall I really like the way the product works and the way it looks after initial application. I am hopeful the conditioner will seal in the color on the arms and Iโm NOT concerned about any transfer problems from the cushions. I highly recommend this product & will use it again. My negative is that they are out of stock on the โdark grayโ color. However, I just remembered they have black. Maybe I could use that to get the dark grey color by mixing it with the light grey, but that means I would have to buy 3 jars of the product instead of 2 to get the color a want to achieve. I may just go ahead and order the black. I may still be interested in the dark grey-let me know if it becomes available.

Easy to Apply
Frotivo leather recoloring balm and Fortivo mink oil leather conditioner are amazing. I recolored my sofa and loveseat. They look brand new. One jar almost covered both sofas. The color did not rub off even when I applied the mink oil. I would totally recommend this product!!

It Works Well, Yet You May Need To Do The Entire Furniture Piece
I have Bengal cats and I'm always getting minor scratches on my leather recliner. This product fills them in nicely yet I must do the entire chair. I use my chair a lot so this restore will last about two or three years, then it will need redone. Yet, it looks new again and it is far less expensive than replacing the furniture. I compare it to polishing shoes, except that the finish is smooth and shiny. Deep scratches may take an additional applications to look like new. It dries in about 20 minutes, can be washed off within an hour should the finish be damaged while drying, and the furniture can be used after several hours to a full day. I always wait an entire day.

Best project in a long time!
*** They won't let me review the mink oil separately so I have to lump it with the recalling bomb. It's nice and thick and seems to be very moisturizing. I just put it on and now letting it dry. I have a few touchups to go but impressed so far. I like this company and their line of products***Five stars so far considering I didn't know what I was doing! When I bought my house I wanted some of the outdoor furniture and the previous owners made me buy everything. For some reason they were into yellow....and putting leather furniture outside. I immediately moved the white leather chair inside that I love but there was the most hideous Dijon colored leather couch I left on the deck. Ugly!! I hated it and even the fire pit has a different yellow tone to it and they really clash. I figured that it was too ugly to sell and it was too expensive to toss so I know I had previously used scratch cover on some stuff but it was the same color. I took a chance and glad I did! This is so far and I ordered a second one just to make sure I have enough as I have the back and one side to do and I'm sure some touchups on the front. It covers a lot and I could maybe do it in one container which is kind of small but potent. What a difference! Now I have an expensive looking all leather couch outside with my new TPO waterproof roof and it matches the wicker furniture perfectly! I couldn't be happier with the outcome so far! It dries really fast which is good but at first I thought what did I do?! You do have to look at the instructions where it says don't necessarily put it in a line because it will dry in a line we're part of it will be darker and part of it will be lighter. I tried doing the circular they mentioned and it made circles and then I tried not pressing as hard and that was a bit better. What I came to find out is as long as it's not lines, on the final sponging with color you can just smear it on and kind of pat it and it looks like slightly nicely aged very expensive leather furniture. Exciting!

An Alternate Use for Leather Restoring Dye
I bought the dark brown to cover cat scratches on two leather recliner chairs. The dark brown did a beautiful job! BUT that is not what I am writing about. I volunteered to restore a little oak music cabinet that belonged to a friendโs mother in England. The top had a huge dark water ring that try as I might I could not get rid of. I got permission to remove the finish and sand the top sure this would take care of it. As I lightly sanded I realized the top was not solid oak. I couldnโt go farther and the huge, dark water stain was more visible. I bought dark walnut stain just sure this would cover the stain which I could then put on a finish coat. By now I was thinking of a marble top, anything to make it right. As I worried myself sleepless I thought of that dark brown furniture dye. Couldnโt hurt right? Well it could have but it did not! It covered beautifully. I let it dry for 24 hours and then applied the finish coat. My friend loves it. I canโt guarantee it for everything but it sure worked for that little dark cabinet. I have before and after pictures if anyone would like to see the before and after. Try in an inconspicuous area.
