I got this to do drawers with plywood or 1 x 8 wood, but I still see some splintering. Not that one can't just do something about it, but not that much for that many teeth on the blade, no?

Great Value
I needed to cut some 3/4" melamine MDF. This blade was perfect for the job. First lay down some blue painters tape over the cut line. Next make a surface cut about 1/4" deep going very slowly. Then do the final full depth cut, again, going very slowly. This method resulted in almost no shattering of the melamine surface. So thrilled because everyone made it sound like a nightmare to do but it was in fact very easy with this method.

This blade was cheaper than my local Home Depot or Lowes and works great! Got it for cutting plywood and it worked like a charm

Cuts well, if you keep going straight. Very good product.
I was a bit hesitant getting the blade after reading all the reviews. Yet, I needed something to cut panels. They are 3/4 particle boards, finishing panels for kitchen cabinets. The blade worked great. I did several cuts. The trick is to do it slowly enough for the blade to keep spinning fast and do it STRAIGHT. Any attempt to change the course and it would start smoking and getting stuck. I guess that could be a problem with some of the other reviews. It did not get dull whatsoever. The last cut was as nice as the first one.
