It does not have "high fructose" corn syrup but it does have corn syrup. The ingredients in order are: sugar, ginger, corn syrup, water, pectin, citric acid, sodium citrate. Hope this helps.

is the ginger shredded or just cooked to jam?

This is not a jam. The ginger is cut into small pieces and quite good. I wouldn't use the term shredded for any preserve I've ever eaten. The lemon juice is not at all intrusive.

ginger preserves arrived broken - a mess of glass and product.

My Chivers UK Ginger Preserve (12oz) arrived damaged. The jar had bubble wrap around then placed in a larger box . The lid was opened and leaking. I understand I cannot send for a replacement so I am requesting a refund of $8.16 please, Thank you, Heather Jacobson
