Women's Swimsuit One Piece PowerFlex Princess Seam Ultraback Conservative Cut

I purchased this suit in January to join my lifeguard son at his “Mamaw and Papaw class” where mature adults have open swim at the local high school pool. It’s perfect and as an avid (although not great) swimmer/hot tuber, this suit has stood up well the last 6 months. I like the way the legs are cut longer. I have an apron belly after 2 c-sections. I struggle to find bottoms that cover my belly and still cover the inside of my leg. There is usually not enough fabric. Because of the boy leg cut of this suit, it perfectly covers all of that but still appears to be a regular suit. Perfect for plus size ladies. Lays modestly around the bottom and bust, perfect to be around my elders to swim. May I advise that you measure yourself and do not size down. I saw other reviews that talked about “white threads” coming out over time. As someone who has sewn Lycra and 4 way stretch garments, those “threads” are the elastic within the fabric that busted because you bought the suit too small. The suit has held well in chlorine and bromine. I do make sure to rinse it out after each use. I’ve used it at the very minimum of 3 times a week the last 6 months I’ve had no color loss, dry rotting or elastic busting. Bless you Speedo, this one’s a keeper. 5/5 would recommend with proper sizing and care this is a fantastic plus size suit.

I have a VERY difficult time finding one piece suits that fit me. Not only am I not the "skinniest" of females, but I'm also very tall (6'2) and have a larger bust size. Needless to say, when it came time to purchase a suit for a required swim class for my major, I was beyond frustrated. I couldn't find a SINGLE suit in the stores around me that fit right or that I could even get ON my body. I can't even say how many stores I tried in center city Philadelphia before I gave up and decided to check here on Amazon. When this suit came in the mail and I tried it on, I was holding my breath hoping and PRAYING this was going to work for me. My prayers were answered, and I wasn't at all disappointed. The conservative cut makes it an extremely comfortable suit, and I don't have to worry if anything is "falling out" while I'm wearing it. I especially loved the way the bottom is cut, reminds me of "boy shorts" which I personally find comfortable. It even hugged my body well enough that I actually feel good wearing it, which I can testify NEVER happens when I wear bathing suits, EVER. I had to swim three times a week, and I followed all of the instructions for "care" of this product. Rinsing it out after each swim and then bringing it home to dry. I know a lot of us women fear the "see-through" bathing suit, especially after wearing it multiple times for repetitive exercise. From my experience however, I'm protected in the water and out and have yet to have had a problem. I foresee myself using this suit for regular swims until it falls apart at this point. I would really recommend this for any woman out there with a body type like mine. It was worth the price for me.

Update: I ended up buying a size 4 to see if the fit would be better and it was. It was slightly too tight around my thighs but I think in the water, it should expand. I wasn't comfortable with how large the top was with the size 6. My size 4's fabric is thinner than the size 6 fabric. I suspect the size 6 is old inventory so the material is more substantial. Keep this in mind while purchasing. I bought this swimsuit because I'm a pear shape and I was getting sick of wearing swim shorts with my suit because half of my butt would be hanging out. I was wary of buying this suit because of the price tag. But I splurge because I am going to start lap swimming soon. I looked at most of the reviews before I ordered. According to the size chart, I should be a size 4 but reviews said to size up so I did. I am around 118lbs, 5'1 with measurements of 32-27-38. The size 6 was a bit tight around the thighs and was almost loose on the top. The length of the straps was just right on me. I knew that the fit would be different when wet so I tried it on wet. The leg opening definitely expanded and it was comfortable. The top also expanded but it doesn't look like I would have any exposure problems. If anything, I'll sew in some places to make it tighter but the soft cups help for the suit to stay in place on top. If I lose any more weight, I would need the size 4 and deal with a tighter bottom. Would I say this suit is for pear shapes? No, but it provides a good option to cover up our best assets. It looks like it's made more for people with more proportional measurements with a bit more meat in the area butt area. But it works better for pear shapes than anything else I've tried. I looked long and hard for a modest swimsuit with soft cups and this is it. The suit also dries quickly. It is very well made. It also had an added benefit of hiding any stomach pooch. I'm not completely flat in that area and you can barely tell I have that pooch there.

I'm glad I read the reviews. That helped me select the right size. I'm 5'2" and about 200lbs and I bought a size 18. It fit exactly as I expected it. I wore it for the first time today for my water aerobics class and everything stayed in place and the suit dried quickly. Time will tell how long this suit lasts but so far, so good!

This is my first Speedo fitness suit. But I'll definitely be ordering more. I take part in an aqua aerobics class 3 times a week. So I need a good long lasting suit. I've only been wearing this a few weeks so I can't exactly comment on the long lasting part, but I can review my experience with it so far. Pros: Very well made. It has a full powerflex liner and good bra. It feels very nice and firm while exercising. The princess seams work to make it a nice looking fit as well. I like the conservative leg cut. Cons: It is a tight fitting suit. If you are used to a nylon and spandex suit with a lot of give, this one will feel very tight and you may want to go up a size. Also, this is the first racerback style that I've worn and it makes it even a little harder to get in and out of. Waiting to see: As I said, I've only worn it for a few weeks. So I'm waiting to see if the xtra life Licra lives up to its billing and does last longer. I'll update this post in a few months to indicate the amount of fading and whether it stretches out like the nylon/spandex suits do.

I have many Speedo suits as I swim regularly. When I got this suit I loved the cut, style and fit. It was not very long before the fabric simply started breaking down. I take good care of my suits and wash them with soap after every use in the pool. Others have had this same problem and posted nearly identical pictures. The breaking down of the fabric results in losing elasticity and it won't be long before it does not fit. Never had this problem with a Speedo before. I don't recommend this. If I was the only one I would consider it an outlier. But there are many similar descriptions.

I bought a similar Speedo suit in a store years ago when I was doing triathlons. That suit was fantastic with a perfect fit and lasted for years of pool and lake swimming. Finally, when it wore out I went looking for the same suit on Amazon but this suit was the closest I could find. The princess seaming seemed to be the main difference so I ordered it in the same size as my previous suit, an 18. The suit was too big, especially in the bust & bottom so I sent it back for a 16. This size fit better in the bust but was still too baggy in the bottom (I am an apple, somewhat larger on the top than bottom) but I really needed a suit for an upcoming vacation so I kept it. When I finally swam in it the top didn't seem as supportive although the bust liner was thicker and I realized the new suit was longer in length. I usually take a long torso suit but this resulted in excess material for my body. It might be great on someone taller than 5'6" or who has the majority of height in their torso. After swimming the in the suit less than a year the liner in the bust started breaking down and became lumpy making it look like I had six oddly placed nipples so I have stopped wearing the suit in public. Such a shame I couldn't find an exact replacement of my original suit.

I am a lap swimmer, and because chlorinated pool water is so hard on bathing suits and they tend to become threadbare or fall apart after a relatively short time, I have always purchased inexpensive suits that can be easily replaced. This is my first Speedo brand swimsuit. I purchased it because it was reasonably priced on Amazon and I was curious to give it a try. I love, love, love this swimsuit. It is difficult to find an athletic style suit that properly fits a full figure (I am a DDD and have a booty), but this one offers appropriate coverage and stays in place while I am in the water. I also feel much more comfortable walking around the pool deck and locker room in this suit than in my cheaper ones because I know I'm not popping out of it. The fabric is soft and stretchy but durable, so it's comfortable but I'm not worried about it falling apart under heavy use. I have recently been losing some weight, and I ordered another one of this exact suit in a smaller size so I can continue to wear and enjoy it even when my original purchase becomes too big. From now on, I will stick with Speedo brand suits as much as possible. Highly recommended!

Happy with this purchase. It was everything it was described to be. A nice conservative cut that was true to size, easy to put on and fit for function. To think that I had made this purchase without measuring myself or comparing it to any other existing Speedo swimwear (of which I have none) as well.

I had a little problem with delivery - package was tracked delivered but it took a few extra days to arrive. However, seller was very helpful with providing information for contact at Amazon and responded promptly to my concern. The swimsuit itself is beautiful! The material is top of the line quality, the suit design fits perfectly on the body and extremely comfortable. The suit fits snug as it should for a swimsuit, but again, very comfortable. Nothing pinches when swimming, it does not lose it`s shape once in the water. I will be buying this item again as I am a daily swimmer and this is the perfect suit for that. I highly recommend this suit, particularly because I use a plus size and have always found it hard to shop for a suit that fits, and to find one that fits fantastic is an amazing find. Give an A+ for this seller and this item.
