Well, it's definitely matte
I admit I ordered this because I wanted the shade and could not find it in the creme formula I love. So... it's matte. It has a little slip, but it looks very matte. Great coverage, definitely. I wouldn't say it's smudge-proof, however I do live in a hot country, so the heat might make it more liquid. It does seem like they put a little oil in (which makes it more comfortable), so it isn't as life-suckingly matte as a MAC matte formula (which I hate). This isn't a bad lipstick per se, but I am not a fan of matte lipsticks and, for me, the colour did not compensate for the formula.

Lipstick defect
The lipstick had no gloss was a flat color. Made my lips dry and cracked. I have purchased same lipstick from other people and loved their product. This one had a defect.

Most incredible lipstick
Shade: Fire & Ice If you love retro-looking, opaque matte lipsticks, you will adore this. It is so well-priced, but seriously performs like a much more expensive lipsticks. (These could hold up to the Pat McGrath & Lisa Eldridge ones. If not better.) The shade is just incredible! The application is so smooth & flawless, straight from the bullet. And the finish is beautiful!

The color is wonderful and sometimes it can go on a bit weak but that could just be an issue with me and not the lipstick.
