Creative Haven/George Toufexis is the best!
Very happy with this book! George Toufexis' work is extremely detailed, challenging, and artfully beautiful when completed. Most pictures use all of the colors in the color list, which I really enjoy! I love the quality of the paper, as I like to use alcohol markers. Also, variety of scenes is great (beach, seashore, tropical, even mountains)! My only issues are that a few of the colors are hard to match (ex. light orange, haven't found anything THAT light yet!) and a few of numbered colors on the picture don't match the finished picture examples in the front/back of the book. However, I can't even take a star away for that! All in all, a fantastic book!

Fun to Pass Time, Numbers are Hard to See
Purchased this to color while I listen to audiobooks since I have ADHD and need to do things in the background to pass time. So far I've finished one full picture and have really enjoyed coloring in it. The picture has turned out great and I'm excited to keep coloring in it and love the Creative Haven coloring books as a whole! The color by numbers is really mindless and takes out the thought process of picking the colors myself. However, the lines are very light gray and the numbers are very small. I understand this is so they don't show through the color when you complete the picture but this makes seeing some of them very difficult. I am a younger person with pretty decent eyesight, but am farsighted and was having trouble seeing the numbers with my glasses on. I imagine that someone with worse eyesight than me would have more difficulties seeing the numbers. Some of these are also very detailed and have very small lines, so coloring them with colored pencil and staying in the lines may be difficult. This is a downside because colored pencil is the recommended medium stated in the book and coloring with fineliner typically is not as smooth. On the upside, the pages are perforated and only printed on one side so you can take them out and use any medium you want with them. If you wanted to use paint or markers with these, you could you would just have to be very detailed with your strokes and use very fine brushes/markers.

Coloring Tip
Here's a tip that I have found helpful: take photos of the inside covers where you will find the color key and thumbnails of the completed coloring. Open up the photos on your laptop, Iphone or I pad. You can enlarge the photos so that you can see the color choices and the shading of the "O" areas. Works for me!

hours of MINDLESS stress-relief!!
I love these Creative Haven color-by-number books because, sometimes I am too stressed to even want to choose colors for my normal books. It is easy to match pencil colors with the color-key in the front cover of the book. I have used Castle Art, Crayola, Amazon Basics, Prismacolor, Crayola Signature, & Markart. Each book requires 24 pencils. However, they suggest using colors that are not generally found in standard 24-pencil sets, such as 2 shades of grey. I have found the best compatible choices from 72-set pencils.

EXTREMELY SMALL numbers, and coloring spots
You almost need a magnifying glass to see the numbers you are supposed to color. Plus, many of those areas are very small. This would take a very meticulous person to do these pictures.

One Of My Favorite Coloring By Number Books
I love what George Toufexis has done with this Creative Haven By The Sea Coloring By Number book. Yes, some of the numbers are small, this allows me to take my time with each piece and do it right. I love changing the palette colors around to fit my visual preference. Having a blank backside also makes it great if you like using different mediums such as markers instead of pencils. Each page is perfect for displaying as they are perforated and can easily fit into any picture frame.
