Reluctant Preteen is Using Daily!
My beautiful darling STUBBORN 9 year old has loudly vocalized that she doesn’t want to go through puberty and boobs are annoyingWhile I don’t necessarily disagree with the sentiment, the reality is that the girl is developing and getting a bit ‘pointy’ in cold weather. It time for a training bra!She very much didn’t want to wear one and had a long list of requirements if she was even going to attempt it: extremely comfortable, non restrictive, not frilly, practical, functional, not fussy or needing to be fussed with. She is very athletic and didn’t want anything that would in any way interfere or distract from her sports practice. After reviewing several, she agreed on these. She is 9 year old, very slender, weighs about 70lbs. The medium fits well with some room to grow.Per her, they are comfortable and unfussy. She forgets she’s wearing it.Reluctantly, she admits that she actually feels MORE comfortable wearing it when running or jumping as it gives her some mild chest support.Whoohoo!A win for the inevitability of oncoming puberty! While her body changes are going to happen, they don’t HAVE to be so feared - we can have fun with them too!

Great training bras!
We got three different training bras offered by Maidenform in size L (Large) for my tween daughter to try. She is 5'2" and a slim 75lbs, and a budding bust of 24". I've included several pictures, and will write a comprehensive review comparing and contrasting these: Maidenform Girl Big Girls' Crop Bra (Pack of 3), Heather Grey/White/Black, Large We got this in the white/black/grey option. These are simple, single-layer 95% Cotton / 5% Spandex bras with no hooks. They provide coverage but no support. My daughter especially liked the black in this pack, as it worked better under dark clothing. They fit well, and they are great for everyday use under most tops. The straps are adjustable, which is a nice feature. The grey one is the only one with a decorative bow, and for us, it was also the only one in our pack that was badly sewn -- one side is much wider than the other. The Maidenform Girl Big Girls' Slim Bra Crop Seamless, White, Large was my daughter's favorite. It is nice, smooth 92% Nylon, 8% Spandex with no hooks, but adjustable straps. It is lightly padded and my daughter said it is more comfortable and supportive. We also got the XL in this one, and it is about an inch wider and has a little more coverage. My daughter had a learning curve with fastening the Maidenform Girl Big Girls' Slim Bra V-Neck Seamless, Nude, Large . It is a soft 92% Nylon, 8% Spandex and has adjustable straps, and is lightly padded. All of the bras were machine-laundered and line-dried, and have washed nice and retained their shape. The nylon has piled some, but that's expected with that kind of fabric. Overall, we are really happy with the Maidenform beginner bras, and have additionally ordered one of their Sports bras as well.

Size small for 9 yr old, sixty pound girl
Amazing 1st bras! My 9 1/2 year old, who is extremely thin for her age at 60 pounds soaking wet, is just barely needing something to cover some little swollen bumps that are embarrassing to her. Bought these in a small and they are perfect! I found some jockey brand ones that were too bulky, but ordered these and they're much thinner and not obvious under clothes at all. Discreet and modest. They have adjustable straps, which really help when you don't have anything to really support. Will buy again.

Perfect first bra
I bought these for my daughter who previously had a pack by Cat and Jack from target in a size 6-6x. I didn’t know if I should get her the small or the medium, but went with the medium thinking she could grow into them if they were too big. However, they fit her great and she really loves them! She is about 65 lbs for reference and isn’t exactly “developed”, just in need of a little extra coverage for modesty in flimsy shirts. These are perfect!

Soft and comfortable
My daughter has sensory clothing issues, but she wanted to start wearing a training bra for coverage purposes even if she didn't really need it yet. We needed to find something very soft and comfortable that fit well under her clothes. These bras have fit the bill. She says she can feel them, but they don't bother her. I like the simplicity of them. We have't had them very long yet, so I can't speak to durability. But, at this price point, I'm not too concerned about that.

Great for picky kids.
My daughter is particular about the clothes she wears. She doesn’t like jeans, pants have to be loose (no jeggings/leggings), no loose shirt/pant wash tags anywhere, and no outer design that can be felt through the article of clothing. So yes, it’s a pain in the butt finding clothes she likes. She spends her time in sweats/joggers and plain t-shirts. I say this because I looked high and low for training bras she would like. These are one of the few that passed the test. It’s basic, with a thick enough layer of cotton to give her the coverage she needs. She wears these under her very specific clothes without one complaint. Buy them.

She says they are very comfortable and likes that they don't really show under her ...
Bought these for my 10 year old daughter and they fit as expected and have held up very well after multiple washing. She says they are very comfortable and likes that they don't really show under her clothing.

NOT MAIDENFORM - False Advertising - Poor Quality
This is not by Maidenform. The tag says "Under License To DELTA Galil USA, Inc". The tags are generic. It arrived in a plastic bag. The sticker on the bag does not say "Maidenform". The bras themselves are a thin fabric with thin straps and thin bottom band - nothing like the Maidenform I bought in store. The Maidenform bras I bought in the store are made out of thicker fabric and better quality with Maidenform tags, slightly thicker/higher quality straps, and a thick flat bottom band.

a bit thin, but okay if used with tank top
Good price, but I wish they were a little thicker with the material. My little sister wears a tank top with it.
