This was perfect for a 7 year old

My 6 year old absolutely loves this guitar. We got this for her for Christmas and she has been using it everyday since. The bright pink color is fun. The best thing about this guitar is that it actually tunes and holds a tune. We had bought other guitars in the past and they never seemed to want to hold a tune once set. Not a problem with this one.

Beautiful sound and fantastic quality

So my eldest daughter (9yr old) expressed interest in playing guitar after her school let them play it in music class. I myself do own acoustics and electrics and my daughter struggles to be able to reach around and hold the axes let alone fret and strum. Enter this cheapo kit and as I expected fit finish and quality. This FITS what I intended. Getting her a guitar shes comfortable with and in which she can learn chord patterns, finger placement and combine with strum rythm and picking. The size is right. Now lets talk about all negatives. The tuners WILL NOT HOLD for long periods. Getting this setup and on pitch will detune over time as the tuners will just loosen just through the sheer vibration of strumming the strings. The neck and frets are a plastic resin.. I'll be lucky to get a year out of sheer wear and tear.. and buzzes on some frets. I wont comment on sound quality.. cmon.. look how much this guitar is.. do you really think its going to sound beautiful and project? It makes the right sound when in tune - nothing atrocious and acceptable. Wait?! Wut?! But why 4 stars? The price to value proposition is there. This is a great starter guitar set for any child to begin learning how to play. Price range wise its at the right place as you wouldnt be out too much money if your child (or mine for that matter) decides to not continue to learn. If my daughter does continue and learn and actually wear down the cheapo plastic frets on the neck in the next year... then I know it'll be worth while to step it up to a baby taylor. Ultimately if you're looking to buy a quality guitar I'd ask you seek out a knowledgeable friend. Obviously if you know what you're doing.. you know to NOT buy guitars online as you always go physically see and buy the very guitar you play in store in your hands. Its not you choosing your guitar.. the guitar chooses you :P

Piece of junk. Made incorrectly frets are placed in the wrong spots. It'll take you half an hour to tune it to e a d g b e. Then when you finally get in tune and you play a cord the whole cord will ring in the wrong key.

Great quality starter guitar for kids. Grandson was thrilled to get it. It took me a while to get it tuned but once there, it played fine and holds tune. You need to stretch the strings some as you tune it initially.

Ticks all of the boxes, this is a nice little guitar. My 6 year old wanted a pink guitar for her birthday and is thrilled with this one. It arrived unscathed and in one piece.

Sturdy, which is good for kids. Color is wonderful my daughter loves this! Tone isn't actually that bad either; stays in tune fairly well, for a plastic guitar.

Cute little starter guitar for kids. The strings aren’t great but replace them with real ones and they’ll be fine. Good for a child to start strumming on. The box says it comes with spare strings, it doesn’t. But, it doesn’t say on the website advertisement it comes with extra strings so it’s not misleading. All in all, a decent product for the price.
