Great Rod, Great Customer Service
For starters I have caught quite a few fish on this rod and have been using it for a while now. I did somehow manage to snap the last 2 pieces of the rod off. That being said I dont know if it was my fault, the rods, fault, a defect I really am not sure. I contacted customer service and they sent me a new rod right away, I actually think they sent me a slightly longer better one than the one I initially had so I truly have nothing but good things to say. It is a really solid telescopic rod. It is very compact easy to throw in the trunk of my car. The reel is actually a very smooth reel much smoother than anything youll get on a combo at a big box stores. The sensitivity on the rod is great you can feel bites really well. It is just a great addition to the fishing kit. I use this combined with a much smaller zebco telescopic thats only like 5.5 feet long for my bluegill fishing. This has given me a lot of fun times so far and im looking forward to more.

Best rod everrr???
Ima be honest, I had his rod about a month and this is the best beginners rod ever. I say this because I caught a four pounder catfish and a six pounder, also caught a bass which was a two pounder/ And the rod never snapped on me or had any trouble with it the flexibility of this rod is amazing and the Rod its self is very strong. I would definitely buy another one. This is one of my favorite beginner rod. U won’t regret

Medium-Heavy rod, but overall solid rod/reel setup!
Great rod and reel. It’s more of a medium-heavy rod, which I was hoping for a medium, but it’s not a huge issue. Durability seems good, but time will tell. This set up is well worth it at the price. It’s nice to be able to throw it in my car or backpack for bike rides. 4 stars is just because of the rod being more stiff than expected. I would recommend this to anyone going for crappie, bluegill, bass, trout. I have caught 13-18” trout and 2-3lb bass no problem. I run 6lb flouro with good casting distance. I could easily run heavier braided for a nice bass set up. I have recommended this set up for friends. I have much more expensive rigs that in my opinion, aren’t much better.

Insanely compact and easy to use
I’m a pretty novice angler, so all I was looking for was a rod that I could throw in my trunk without being worried about it breaking. This has surpassed all my expectations, it’s smooth, super easy to whip out and put away, and it makes it a quick and easy breeze to throw some bait on and cast during my lunch breaks! It was so handy I ended up buying a second one so my coworker could join me. Highly recommend for normal freshwater fishing use. (Most I’ve used on this is 12lb line and have had zero issue) UPDATE: after buying my 3rd rod (for more friends to use) I have discovered one singular issue with this rod: the nut that holds the reel handle on has a tendency to loosen over time, and in the time I’ve fished with these rods, the handle has fallen into the lake twice. (These were both 5 bucks a piece to replace- so this was not much of a problem) HOWEVER- if you are using this rod- make sure to occasionally check on the nut and give it a twist.

Worth it.
Ive been using this rod for 3 years now, and have caught plenty of fish. It's a pretty solid rod, especially for the price. I like that it packs down small so I can easily pack it with me anywhere. Despite its size, I caught a pretty good size Freshwater Drum with it. I was worried the rod would break, but I reeled it in and the rod is still going strong.

Unreliable. Save some heartbreak and DONT buy it!
So upset with this fishing pole. I bought it for my son’s birthday and the day after he got it, he went fishing and it broke with his first catch. If you can’t tell from the photo, he was quite upset. The fish wasn’t even that big! This about broke my heart when his brother sent me this photo. If you are buying it for a young kids who loves to bike to the town pond with friends to go fishing- don’t do it! They might get their heart broken…

Great Multi Species Rod - 1 Year Re-Review
****Quick update.**** In the past year I have tried telescopic rods from multiple different manufacturers now (bass pro private label, king cast, EOW, and others) trying to see if there are better options out there. This Plusino combo is still tops in my opinion. Reel is still working, though it is starting to show some age 1 year and 400+ fish later. Bail doesn’t snap closed any longer and bearings aren’t as smooth, but this thing has been in the bed of my truck rolling around since the day I bought it. It still works too. Just landed. 4lbs bass on it this week. The rod however didn’t last the full year. It did snap on me after about 70 or so trips out. BUT, it was not entirely due to an issue the rod. I got one of my favorite lures caught in a tree and spent about 15 minutes trying like crazy to jerk it free. I put way too much stress on the rod tip and it finally snapped. After trying a few other collapsible rods with the Plusino reel, I ended up going back to this same rod. It really is just the best. My original review is listed below and I still stand by it. Completely worth the money. Used this little guy about 20+ trips already and I have been loving it. It was originally just going to be my back up rod, but it is so convenient I keep it in my truck at all times and now it’s the only rod i use. I threw 6lbs spiderwire on it and I can feel everything my lure is doing in the water. Also, feel every little nibble, bite, and I know exactly when the fish is on. Pulled in a couple 1.5-2 pounders on this set up and the fight is just fun. Even that occasional angry runner bluegill makes you feel like you’re reeling in a big ol slab. Super durable so far. I let it roll around the truck bed, pull up to a random spot on the side of the road, drop the line in the water, and have literally had zero issues (knock on wood). Easily landed 100+ fishing ranging from 1/2” guppy to 16” bass and this rig just keeps on working. As I said, I love this thing.

Ok, if you are on a budget here's why...
This rod is ok if you are just starting to fish and dont want to spend lots of money on a fishing rod. Its also really good for traveling and if you have a small car or biking. It really have no feel if fish is biting or not, no feel for the bait as well, the reel feels really cheap, hard to reel when caught a bigger fish, feels heavy and the throwing sucks, cannot throw far at all. Other than that its ok if you are just casually fishing and baiting.

Snapped Off
Hi, caught a big fish on this rod. I already own Shamino telescopic rods so I have a direct comparison. This rod snapped off and the fish got away. I also think the diecast reel winder handle is cheap. Don’t buy this product. Spend your money on a mainstream brand.

Pier fishing
Good telescopic rod. Very compact and fits nicely in a small backpack. Caught mackerel and rod and reel worked well.
