Manufacturers desperate to enter the market think a tank in your ear is passable. Thankfully, as I unboxed this thing... great first impression. Portability and Looks: The case is tiny, thus actually portable! Placement and printing of the Haylou logo on top is tasteful and stylish as well. It's not Airpods small, but it's pretty damn close. Love the whole 'integrated light' theme these guys were going for. Both the case and the earbuds have a matte black finish, but the LED lights appear and disappear as they turn on and off. Once they're off, you have no idea where the lights are supposed to be, and that's cool and intentional design right there. Once they're in your ear, they don't stick out light a sore thumb and the round shape of the earbuds look great. Comfort: This is insanely important for a TWS experience, and these are 98% there. Earbuds are light, don't feel like oversized tic tacs in your ear, and don't fall out easily either. There is a slight discomfort from the shape, as it's perfectly rounded but not contoured to your ear shape. It seals in well, but doesn't have that 'disappearing' feeling that the most comfortable earbuds have. Still, it's good enough that you forget it's in your ears on occasion. Sound Quality: These sound great, but bass is slightly lacking. Mostly flat response from what I can hear, so nothing is exaggerated. Excellent sound stage of all things. Somehow instruments sound separated, not mushed into your ear, which is surprising. But, it's nothing to write home about, so I wouldn't get this if you're looking for the best audio quality. "Noise Cancelling" If you were confused by the marketing as I was, allow me to clarify. These are not ANC in the sense of Bose QC or Airpods Pro. These literally cancel the 'noise' sound (think of that staticky 'SHHHHHHH' sound from bluetooth earbuds) when they're active. Not as cool as ANC, but it really is dead silent when they're connected, which is great if you hate 'noise' itself. Gives music that excellent clarity and probably contributes to the good soundstage I mentioned earlier. Battery Life: As advertised: around 5 hrs per earbud charge, case can take like 4-5 charges. Overall: As far as I can see, these are the best budget TWS experience I've had thus far. The technology is so new that so many products have clunky UI and issues, but these seem to be well-designed on all areas. Highly recommend this product. Review: Mostly QOL updates, but worth it! - So far, so good! They are very similar to the regular GT-1s. They sound just as good, if not better. However, they don’t look or feel too different. The extra battery life provided in the case is an absolutely welcome change! Overall, I’d recommend them as a wireless earbud alternative to something like AirPods. I bought the regular GT-1s for my wife, and have recommended them to 3 other friends. The wife loves them, and each of the 3 friends purchased a pair and love them! The Pros are definitely worth the $5-6 upgrade if you want the extra battery life. Sound: largely the same as the GT-1s. If you’re looking for a sound improvement, you might not find it here. I do think they’re a little cleaner than the regular set though. Bass is still excellent! It won’t blow your mind with a booming sub, but I’ve always been impressed with Haylou’s overall sound! It’s surprisingly good! Design: largely the same as the regular set. I think the barrel from the body to the eartip is slightly longer though. Still fits well in my ears. I will say that the matte finish is a fingerprint/skin-oil magnet. My regular set is oily, and my new Pros have already gathered a fair amount of oil. I don’t think I’ve got dirtier/oily-er hands than the average person either. Features: they pair immediately with each other, and with the phone after the first time. I’ve never had problems with them! The touch controls are simple, and good enough for touch controls (though limited). These are supposed to be Waterproof rated, but I don’t plan on testing that. I’d be cautious. The case (which is bigger now) has a nice new quad LED indicator to see where the battery for the case is at, and has a magnetic lid now - which is a really great addition! Overall, I think they’re great. Not a whole lot has changed, mostly QOL improvements. And in my mind, they’re worth the extra $5-6. They were already great earbuds! Now they’re better. Good ear buds
First... Out of the box they did not pair to each other, and it was actually kind of difficult to get them to pair. I watched a few different videos on YouTube to try to pair them, and I spent a lot of time trying to get it to work. Just when I was about to give up and submit them for return I finally got them paired. Since then I don't have a single complaint. They keep a good charge, they sound good, and they always pair when I pull them out of the case. If they had been a little easier to work with at first I would have given them 4 stars Edit... After using these for about a week I'm bumping my review up to 4 stars. After the initial issue of getting the rest buds to pair to one another I haven't had any trouble at all. They keep a charge for a long time, and the sound is really good for the price.
