Is this 1.75 oz tube an identical product to tizo3 age defying fusion spf 40 that came in a tube of 1.5 oz? that tube has no reference to "tinted"

Yes! same formula. The "tinted" was added to the packaging to help customers identify the correct product that they want. TIZO2 product (the TIZO3 counterpart) is the same formula but "non-tinted" Hope that helps.

My husband has an Irish red face. Will this reduce redness without giving a pale look?

I don't know how it would appear on his face. My skin is very pale/white and the product made me look orange and darkened my complexion. The tint that looked orange on me might make your husband look orange red. I also did not like the way the sunscreen settled in lines and wrinkles and made me look older than I look in reality. I've gone back to my old standby - Obagi Sun Shield, Broad Spectrum SPF 50, matte finish, untinted. It works better than anything I've found.

Coming out of the tube, the product appears dark brown. When applied, there is a slight tint. This will not take the place of foundation if you want to cover imperfections.
