Works great
Worked great. The only thing I would recommend is having a lighter (or torch) to heat the ring. And then a screwdriver to help get the piece off afterwards. But helped bring my ring up like 1/4 size for comfort.

Good tool to have for Jewelry lovers....Easy to use!
Had several rings that over time got a bit too tight to wear. Purchased this to take a chance at ring stretching on my own since the jewelry store has gotten really expensive to go up a half size on ring-sizing. Worked like a charm and was really easy to use. Learned that it works best on a piece of full grain when tapping to stretch unlike hard surface without cushioning results. What started out as a "give it a try" item ended up being used for all my rings that were too tight. It should be noted that this is good for going up a half size and up to 1 size depending on the thickness of the jewelry ban. men's rings tend to be thicker so I had no issues however have not tried it on a ladies ring. Also, this cannot be used on rings that have stones that are mounted on them as they take a different type stretch unit. Definitely would recommend and will buy again if this one wears out and I need another one.

Simple wedding band almost destroyed
I watched the video and followed the instructions precisely, hoping to give a minor stretch to my simple gold wedding band. After tapping the top part as described, I could not pull the rod out of the mandrel (the stretcher) and thus could not release my ring. I had not hit the rod hard, just tapped it as shown in the video, but it was completely stuck. It tried pulling it out with pliers, to no avail. Finally, I put one end in a vise and used pliers to turn the other end, and after much sweating was able to separate them and rescue my ring ... which had not even stretched at all! In the video, they do not show this step -- removing the rod from the mandrel. It just skips forward from tapping the rod to pulling off the ring as if by magic. I repeat: I followed the instructions exactly, but after an hour of wasted time, and much anxiety for my ring, this was the result. And now, I still have to take my ring to a jeweler to stretch, compounding the waste of money. I do not recommend this product.

Works great
I have a silver ring that got crushed half flat. I was able to use this to get it back round. THe only thing I found was I had to use a vice to pull the tool apart, but that was no big deal.

Works with limitations
This works with some limitations. As mentioned in the listing, it is only for certain sizes. Also the tool is hardened steel so if you hit it with a soft hammer like brass, it is going to mar your hammer. If you hit it with a hardened hammer, the chrome coating will flake off (definitely wear eye protection) and it will beat up the punch set. Also when using it, you either need a dowel or something to pound out the expander out, or you need to commit to punching the ring expander all the way to the max so you have enough sticking out that you can hammer it back out. Also don't use on wide rings, if its wider than the steps, it will mar the inside of the ring with a line that is rather deep and doesn't polish out easily. I think by going all the way through on my test ring, I picked up slightly less than 1 size difference, but it depends on how tightly it fits initially on the steps as to how much it expands. So if you were trying to only get a half size difference you have to experiment with how much to insert the punch and a dowel or something as mentioned above to get the punch back out. If you have to resize a couple of rings a year, this will probably work, but if you were doing it regularly you would need to invest in a better tool.

Good tool if you're not afraid to snap your ring! Great for rounding out bent rings!
Worked "okay". My husband's wedding ring was too small from him gaining a little weight. Needed to go up a size. I was able to stretch it maybe a half size but was afraid I would snap the ring. The tool was easy to figure out how to work. Seems like if you're not afraid to snap a ring, it would do the job. The inside of my husband's ring did get a little scratched. For giving a small stretch this is perfect. One thing I did find that was beneficial, the ring was kind of bent at first but after messing with it, it was much more round like how it originally was.

Great, inexpensive alternative if used with a little patience.
Worked as it should. Use a little common sense and it does the job. Will probably not work on jeweled rings as it expands the the entire band. This one did not come with a hammer. I recommend a small hammer applying light impact, and rechecking size frequently. It will snap a band if not careful. A great tool to expand a band one size at the most.

Works well
I'm new to jewelry making. Used this stretcher to size my wife's ring from a 6 to a 6.5. Worked really well to maintain sharp. It's white gold so I ended up having to cut the ring and add material in on the bottom. Whole new experience and this stretcher helped keep the integrity and shape of the ring as I built it up after 20 years of wear plus having to add more gold for the sizing.

Ring sizer
Worked ok but finish on tapered pin is rough and left marks on ring.

Not worth it.
If it gets stuck it does not work well. You will have to damage your ring to get it out. I would rather get the ring resized professionally.
