Venezia in Cucina: The Flavours of Venice

I absolutely love cookbooks that include tons of beautiful photos and little stories to go along with the recipes. As someone learning Italian, I love that they are in both Italian and English. I highly recommend!!!

"Venezia in Cucina: The Flavours of Venice" is a wonderful cookbook in general and a lovely guide to the unique cuisine of Venice. Venice is one of my favorite cities, despite the tourist crush that can sometimes overwhelm the place. The cuisine of Venice is as one would expect heavily biased toward seafood. I have enjoyed eating at some of the restaurants cited in this book as sources for recipes and I was very much impressed by both the handsome book layout, the perfectly selected photos of Venice and the lagoon, and of course by the authentic and well presented recipes. This is one of the best Italian cookbooks I have seen, and I have seen a lot of them. The recipes and choices of foods are spot on for traditional Venetian cuisine, with a heavy inclusion of dishes from Burano and the wonderful Da Romano and Gatto Nero restaurants there. The text is in dual language Italian and English, side by side, so it's also a great learning tool for brushing up on your Italian for a visit. A lovely cookbook. RECOMMENDED.

Gave this to my girlfriend and she said it was the most beautiful cook book she ever recorded. There are beautifully presented dishes all true to their Italian origin.

The book was quite worn on the outside. The inside is beautiful, a good description of sea life, foods and dishes both traditional and modern (chef) from the lagoon. The recipes assume more knowledge of the products than one might have; the recipes are not written with the detail that one now expects from Epicurious and Saveur.

Authentic recipes. I have relatives from Venice area. Beautiful pics. makes a great gift.

A book were tasty recipes can be found. They are easy to ready and the pictures are inspiring. All in all a good book!

The book was printed upside down and inside out. Front cover was at the back of the book. Inexcusable to send out a book like that.
