Perfect, loud! I like the flat shape of this whistle because I carry it on my key-chain. I also keep one in my car. I'm a "safety girl", so it lets me summon help much louder than using my voice if I need to. Glow in the dark feature is also nice.

I bought this product to hang in my key chain on my motorcycle. I like how small and compact it is and best of all, it looks really good, with the green colour. The photos I attach will show you how compact and small it is compared to a regular flash drive and iphone earphones. As far as functionality of the whistle goes, it is very loud. I did read through the reviews of people who said it wasn't loud. But I can assure you that this if blown right, it can be so loud that it will irritate your ears. Blowing this whistle reminds me of my kiddie days when I had a whistle and played with my friends. I don't know when I will use this but I just thought it will look cool on my motorcycle key chain. I liked it so much that I have added another one of these to my cart. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a very loud and good looking whistle.

I've owned many whistles over the years. I commute by bike and a whistle is the only practical way to be heard inside a car or through headphones. A polite bell just doesn't do it. This whistle is light enough to carry in my lips and its loud enough to do the job of alerting pedestrians and drivers to stop their wandering ways. It also works to repel chasing dogs and aggressive panhandlers. Its not the loudest whistle I've ever used but it's the loudest compact whistle I've used. I also keep a glow in the dark one on my keys and it lives there unobtrusively. As one might expect of a keychain, it only sees a few minutes of light a day, yet still manages to glow softly all night. This is great as a small light also lives on my keys and this whistle makes it easy to find in the dark. I've used my whistle several times to diffuse potential muggings by looking at people suspiciously following me straight in the eye and whistling my fool head off. Let me tell you it attracts attention which is exactly what that kind of person doesn't want. This is totally not going to work if you're clueless or wait until they're right up on you and can silence you permanently.

The good: Moderately loud, lightweight, compact. It has a high pitched distinctive trill that makes it easy to identify as a whistle and cuts through background noise. Works well in the water (SOLAS approved). The bad: Moderate effort to reach full volume reduces it suitability as an emergency whistle. The ACR WW-3 and ACME 660 will match its output with less effort. Fairly high pitch reduces its range in wooded areas. Overall: Good signaling whistle for medium ranges. What can I say? It glows in the dark, attaches to a cord of my choice, and makes an ear-piercing sound when blown, even when wet. That's all I could ask for from this safety whistle, really. I noticed that some people said it's tough to blow on whistles of this type, but I didn't have to try hard at all. One word of caution: It's LOUD and HIGH-pitched. (I believe it has a dual pitch, but I couldn't stand to listen to it long enough to determine that.) If you plan to blow it indoors, I recommend ear protection. My ears hurt after 2 tries. Poor dogs in range of this thing will go nuts! The one thing I didn't like about the whistle is that it didn't come with an attached cord. Minor detail, and I'm sure some people prefer it without the cord since it can also be attached to a key chain, zipper, or anything else with a loop.

Super loud whistle. Hurts my ears to blow it full blast. It is well made, heavy duty plastic in a flat design. Can't break it by sitting on it that is for sure. Every stepping on it won't harm it. It would probably hold up to stomping on it as well but lets not go crazy. I clipped it onto the chest strap on my hiking pack (just in case I need it). I have not studied tons of different whistle types like some of the reviewers but I can say that this whistle will do the job for a hiking survival type of situation. I don't use it for coaching soccer though. Way to loud.

It takes a good puff to get a loud sound out of this whistle, however after some practice, even my three-year-old can managed a good string sound! We bought them for our children to play outside and be safe if there were an emergency. I like the price and the quality and would repurchase these whistles.

Slim, compact, and durable, this whistle can generate some serious decibels. It is luminous, but only for a short period of time after being exposed to strong light. I have it attached to my Acebeam K-30 flashlight lanyard so I have it handy on my before-dawn and after-dusk dog walks. The flat profile also makes it ideal for keychain or pocket carry. J'y vois deux utilisations majeures : - Défense : en cas d'agression, que vous soyez victime ou témoin, permet de faire fuir l'agresseur et d'alerter la population alentour. - Signalisation : que vous soyez blessé, perdu, éloigné de votre groupe, le sifflet peut se révéler salvateur. En outre : - Le sifflet n'est jamais à court de batterie. - Le sifflet ne nécessite pas de réseau. - Le sifflet est petit, léger et ne casse pas au moindre choc. Bien sûr, il ne s'agit pas d'opter pour un système à l'exclusion de l'autre mais de souligner leur complémentarité. Je recherchais donc un sifflet performant pour intégrer mon EDC. Sur les quelques sifflets que j'ai pu tester, mon choix s'est arrêté sur celui-ci pour les raisons suivantes : - En plastique, il flotte, sans être altéré par l'humidité. Même mouillé il reste parfaitement fonctionnel. J'ai la chance de pouvoir profiter d'un lac uniquement fréquenté par quelques rares pêcheurs et jamais je n'irais m'y baigner sans sifflet autour du cou ou au poignet (parfait pour un maître-nageur sauveteur). - Couleur vive : le sifflet utilisé en situation de détresse a tout intérêt à être rapidement identifiable. - Sans bille : les sifflets dits "à roulette" s'encrassent plus facilement et peuvent également se boucher en cas de gel, la bille obstruant le flux d'air. Un puissant sifflet à toujours porter sur soi, aussi bien en milieu naturel qu'en milieu urbain.
