Organic Cacao Nibs

These taste great. They're chocolately, crunchy, and pleasantly bitter. They seem fresh and high quality. Opening the bag releases a nice chocolate aroma. I've used them in granola, cereal, yogurt, smoothies, and cookies so far. And just eaten them plain. Even my 2 and 4 year old nieces like them. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. I've already bought them again.

5 stars because it is exactly what it said it would be, it is high quality, has very few if any shell fragments, has no mold or mildew flavor, and seems to be all-around exactly what you're looking for if you like this kind of thing. But, it tastes like crap. I mean, who eats this stuff!? I bought 2 bags because I'm a chocolate LOVER and have cravings like crazy, but it turns out, after much online research, that the delicious chocolate and brownie flavor we all love so much ONLY COMES IF THE PRODUCT IS FERMENTED, TOASTED, AND THEN **PROCESSED WITH ALKALI**. Yep! It's the "Dutch processing", or processing with alkali that makes cocoa taste so good! So, this stuff has an extremely high calorie count since it's filled with cocoa butter, but it tastes awful AND does not have the deep chocolate flavor I want because it's not processed with alkali. So, if you wanted to eat fermented cacao garbage instead of delicious, chocolatey alkali-processed cocoa/cacao flavor, this stuff's for you! It has all the calories you want to make you fat like chocolate, without giving you the flavor of chocolate. :) Enjoy. :) Seriously though: 5 stars: nothing wrong with the product otherwise.

While the bag occasionally has shells in it, I like these cacao nibs and eat them every day.

What a wonderful snack for me, who tries not eat sugar. It satisfies my desire for something chocolate-like. Great to cook with.

Great product!

I wasn't sure what to expect from the Cacao Nibs. This was the first time I tried this type of product. However, I have been hearing lots of good things about consuming raw Cacao. I can feel it working inside my body and I like using the product. I was hoping to not have to eat chocolate anymore. It won't eliminate it completely but definitely helps me to consume less of the processed chocolate than before. It is not sweet at all. There is somewhat of a bitter taste if consumed directly. I have made a sweet drink with honey on the stove top and it reduced some of the bitter taste and made the items softer. I would say from direct use from the package that it is more like sprinkling nuts on top of food. I haven't tried anything bake yet. Terrasoul was a great brand to purchase from. The product arrived wonderful and intact and the quality is very good. I will look to this brand to explore much more products in the future. This product does not in any way compare to another item around the same price by Vivanaturals also called Cacao nibs. it does have fat but no trans fat and the fact that it has is high. But it also has 5 mg of sodium. It has carbohydrates 9 g which is very little dietary fiber 8 g total sugar 1 g protein 4 g calcium 22 mg iron 6% potassium 140 MG. The the nutrients on.Terrasoul had very low fat and only 1 g of carbohydrates, dietary fiber .8 as oppose to 8 g with Viva naturals. Viva naturals has 1 g of sugar. Protein is 4 g calcium is 22 mg iron is 1 mg potassium 145 mg. So bottom line is that I have paid a great deal of money for virtually no nutrition or whatsoever. until yesterday I still had.Viva naturals. I did not open this until yesterday. I should’ve looked at it before I ordered it now. I am stuck with it.
