Are K&H heated beds safe for pets?

Yes! K&H heated pet beds are MET safety certified, meeting electrical safety standards that go beyond UL requirements. The entire product, not just parts, is safety-certified, ensuring complete reliability for your pet's comfort.

How does the heating element work in the cat bed?

The heating element is thermostatically controlled & heats when your pet is in the bed, providing warmth without overheating. It adjusts to your pet’s body temperature. Please see image above on "how to test your heated bed".

Can I wash the cover of the heated bed?

Yes, our K&H beds feature either removable/washable cover or the entire bed can be washed depending on the model. Please reference item level description for details. Be sure the heating element is removed prior to washing.

Can i use my human heating pad for my pet?

No. Human heating pads are not designed for pets, they are too warm. Cat and dogs have a temperature of between 100-102°F, so heated pet beds should not get warmer than about 104°F as higher temperatures can cause serious injuries.
