Extra Long M8 (8mm) Stair Banister Adapter Y-Spindle Rods 2 Pack for Pressure Mounted Baby and Pet Safety Gates (8mm, Black)

I wasn’t sure how to install my gate with my older style stair case but these did the trick! A cheap and easy fix! Surprisingly very stable and blend in perfectly with my black iron staircase.

These add on pieces hold the new gate tight to the bannister and neither children nor animal can get up the stairs. The fitment for this gate is the 8 mm diameter pieces. I originally bought the 10 mm and they were way too big. This gate is 28” high and with these add on screws it’s perfect for my stairwell.

Had to put a baby gate in an odd spot on our house. These did the trick, hold up great and don’t damage surfaces anymore than a regular gate setup would.

I needed these adapters to make the gate I purchase fit at the top of my metal banisters. While the product did work, you could not tighten the top enough to keep it from being wobbly and unsafe. I was able to use wire ties at the top on both ends and secure the gate enough to be safe. Pay close attention to the size and length of the bolt. Not all extenders work on all gates. I guess I didn’t do enough research but this is my fourth set of extenders and the ones that worked best for the gate I purchased.

This is a fabulous item! I would not have been able to install a pet gate at the bottom of my stairs without it, since I have a bannister on one side. This is the greatest invention! Highly recommend!

I bought this for when my second child started crawling around and we had a Hallway with a corner wall and a slightly angled corner. It was a fantastic fit! Looks like it should have come initially in the baby gate, with how well it looked. Well worth the money, and it has outlasted the baby gate itself. With the peace of mind, I would repurchase it. Easy to install, and looks nice!

Worked perfectly for our banister!!

We struggled to find a gate that was wide enough and secure enough to be placed at the top and bottom of our stairs. Instead of ugly bits of wood/DIY adaptions, these screws are perfect. They also fit nicely on spindles too. I don't usually leave reviews unless something is very good or very bad. These are very good and i would definitely buy them again

These Y-spindle rods were exactly what I needed for my baby gate on the stairs. Easy to install, very sturdy, and fit perfectly with my pressure-mounted gate. Great quality and does the job well!
