Can the strap be stored in the car long term? Will the sun make the fiber brittle?

The strap is pretty heavy duty but I'm not sure about direct sunlight. Usually keep it in a bin or under the seat.

This is the weakest arb snap strap, but still seems too strong for midsize trucks (~4400 lb) given the 2-3x rule. will this work for a midsize truck?

I have a tacoma (3rd gen) and I have pulled full sized pickups like tundras and 1500 series dodge and Chevy trucks. I even pulled out a dually whose operator did not have enough common sense to air down on the beach ( he shouldn’t have been there anyway, those trucks use rated tires which have extremely stiff sidewalls). Ive pulled full size suvs and land rovers also. I haven’t had one problem with this strap. I’m sure there are other manufacturers with similar ratings but I can say that this strap has never failed in pulling someone out in sand up to the floorboards. I’m not a spokesperson for ARB , I can only say it works.
