Wilton 3 Piece Gingerbread House Metal Cookie Cutters

Great product!! A completed house, ready to assemble, in just 30 minutes!! Easiest gingerbread house I have ever made. For the cost, I love these! They may not be the strongest metal, but when used properly will last for years. The directions clearly say not to press on the bar in the middle, press on the edges only. I had to make 14 gingerbread houses for a party. I bought 2 cutter sets so the entire house could be in the oven at once. I rolled the dough out on a Silcone mat, pressed down the cutter, removed excess dough, and slid mat onto the cookie sheet. (Leave cutters in dough so there will be no spreading.) After baking, slide mat to cooling rack and lift away cutters. (They don't stick.) This couldn't get any easier!! These are the perfect individual size at about 7"x7".

I made over 40 gingerbread houses for a special event with 2 sets of these over 2 months, freezing the pieces as I went, and actually baked the cookie cutters with the dough to ensure the dough didn't spread as it cooked. They held up well considering.

I had the original plastic set from Wilton’s that I bought in the 1970s. This year tge plastic finally started chipping. I ordered this one because it was metal, and I am totally disappointed Not only are the sides not straight but one of the handles is broken. There is no option to return or exhange so I am stuck with this kit I will never use.

I bought this to make for my preschool. They are the perfect size if you are only making a few, but it took me about 6 hours to make 12 of these. They are super cute though!!! Wilton did a great job on the shape, etc, but I was disappointed in how flimsy they are. I noticed after a few houses that a few of the cutters had slightly bent and I had to straighten them back out. But it was a good price and saved me the hassle of cutting them all out with a knife so I think they are worth the investment.
