I buy these for my students for a fun learning experience about colonial life when the colonists were fed up with taxes with no representation. The skittles serve as the students' money that they must pay out to the tax collectors to pay their taxes to the king. In the end, the king ends up with most of the taxes along with his two parliament members. I do not fix it and let the children go home angry about all of their skittles being given so freely to that mean king. It is all random who becomes the king. We have had to substitute a queen a time or two if that's the way it plays out. Don't worry. The colonists win in the end if you recall and I do reward the colonists in subsequent days. They get to line up first, etc. My students also write about their feelings and many are quite perturbed. I found this activity on Teachers Pay Teachers. The skittles are the great motivators. So, of course, make this purchase. They were reasonably priced as well.

So sweet for me and kidos

The taste is just as you remember from your childhood - a hard shell with vibrant color and chewy, fruity interior. My only complaint was that the bag initially delivered had a burst gusset seam, spilling out the contents into the Amazon delivery pouch. Thankfully, they replaced the bag the very next day for free when I submitted a complaint to Amazon.

If you like Skittles - they're ... well ... Skittles. We freeze-dry them and old ones don't work as well. These were fresh and worked well!

Just absolutely delicious. Probably not great for the teeth though.
