The best filtered water ever!!!
I used "Brita on tap" filter for years, and I enjoyed it, but I always thought it has to be something better, because my glass kettle would need cleaning after a few days of daily use. I finally got across this filter, and it blows my mind how clean the kettle is after almost 2 weeks of use (I also jump-start my cooking with filtered boiled water in the kettle, so I use it a lot). Please see the picture! I think because of the added magnesium has a different taste at the beginning, not bad, but different, but within couple of days we all got used to it. I really enjoy my water now! I bought the 4.2l one, it looks like glass but it's made of plastic and it's beautiful, modern and elegant, a bit heavy of course, when it's full. It has an accurate spout and I can easily pour the filtered water into glass bottles to put in the fridge without a funnel, which I love! The lid has a perfect seal and even if water is left into the first compartment and I pour water out, it doesn't leak at all. It's so well made... I give it 10 stars! The "filter lifetime indicator" it doesn't use batteries and the dial moves every time I open the lid fully, even if I don't need to add 4l of water. This is a bit confusing how it knows how much water I literally add, but this is the least of my worry: I have the kettle to tell me when it's time to change the filter! 😀

Definatly filters limescale.
Seems to take out limescale 100%. No residue seen in my kettle. I use a British berkey for every other contaminant but just doesn't filter limescale so bought this as it was a economical soln. For limescale it seems to filter it completely. As I've have used it for a month and there is no limescale residue. Can't really say if it is as effective for anything else as I have no means to test it..and I have the Berkey for tht. Easy to use, good size, looks great.

Best filter jug we've had.
We've had a few filter jugs over the years, none have been great. Our last one was a Philips which felt cheap and the filters were useless, constantly blocking up. I bought the Aquafor with interest in the magnesium adding filters and so far we're happy with it. It looks much nice than other jugs, it does pass for glass-like if you don't look too closely. Time will tell how it deals with the linescale from our stupidly hard water. It's capacity seems accurate (which makes a change from all the others) and it's easy to clean as it as no awkward corners, and the filters do make a big difference - makes for a good cup of tea. The mechanical usage meter seems a bit eager to rush to tell you your filter needs changing though, I'm dubious about its accuracy.

Pretty good overall
This jug is definitely a good size for our family as we drink a lot of water. It doesn't fit in our fridge but we fill a large 2 ltr glass bottle with the fltered water and keep that cold instead. It filters quickly and you can definitely taste the difference between before and after filtration. Filters a but tricky to fit and if it's not in correctly, the water in the upper section leaks through with out being filtered. I've managed to get ours in almost tight, but it has once small drip, but we can cope with that. Excellent tasting water, big capacity and quick filter time. Timer on tip is basic but works fine for filter changes every 3 months. Would recommend this if you don't want to pay a fortune.

Water filter Jug
This water jug is brilliant. It looks good and does the job. The cartridges last a while and you can order further supplies easily.

So far so filtered
I chose this for its elegant shape compared to the fridge ones. Also because of the amount of filtered water it will hold. OK, you need to fill the reservoir twice to fill the jug for the dinner table, but that’s fine with me. The jug can be quite heavy when full, so may not suit elderly or young children. It hurts my husbands arthritic thumb. No batteries in the indicator is a plus for me, let’s reduce electronic absurdities we don’t need! I chose the A5 version for the longer capacity A5 filter, but not sure whether that was sensible as there are no refills available for the A5, so it will be thrown away - so may have misjudged that in my quest to reduce plastic use. I will have to find out if it is recyclable. Hope so. The indicator works when the lid is opened, and so far in one day it has dropped considerably, so we will see if it lasts as long as claimed. We drink a lot of tea and water in this house. Overall pleased with the filter jug, and that a company is addressing plastic use by extending filter life.

I can enjoy my coffee again
I finally decided to ourchase a water filter. Having used Brita for many years this filter is great. The water tastes good and the filter life is 3 times longer than the Brita filters. The replacement timer is useful.
