Everything arrived as expected and the set is great for game night. The dice and accessories are a nice addition, and the quality is impressive.

We picked up this Dungeons and Dragons Essentials Kit bundle for our VAL (Veteran Adventure League) game nights, and it's been perfect! Having everything included—six dice sets, item cards, quest cards, and character sheets—makes running sessions so much easier. Everyone gets their own dice, which keeps gameplay flowing smoothly. The cards and sheets help our group stay organized and focused on the adventure. It's a great all-in-one package with solid quality components. Our VAL crew has had some truly memorable game nights with it. Highly recommend for any gaming group!

I am so excited. My family is getting together this weekend so we can play this game. It gives us many options to learn how to play including D&D groups to join online. As well as extras to help me learn the game more. And if you are silly like I am and didn't realize that some of the extras are printable you may feel like you miss out. But you don't. They sent me a card with most of my extras with it. And the card gives 3 options. One of those Awesome options will give you the extras. I also am so grateful I got the bigger pack because the dice are beautiful. I received: a postcard sized paper with 3 options to receive my bonus pack, a paper to show where to go for more D&D fun, my adventure book, my essentials rule book, 7 set of dice, cards (3 combat, 9 Initiative, 9 Character, 9 Quest, 15 Magic Charm, and 35 Magic Item Cards), a box for the cards (see pic), a divider with helpful guides on the other side, a map (sword coast on one side and Phandalin on the flip side), 6 character sheets ( basic info on one side and your characters detail info you write in on the flip side (examples are attacks and spell casting and flaws etc) . I really like how this seems like a complete pack to learning the game it's perfect for what I want. To teach my husband and I how D&D gameplay is. As well to see if we can get others interested to keep a weekly game going. I hope I didn't miss anything on what this nicely put together essentials pack gives you. I did notice they have a starter pack as well, but I believe both games are learner games. After we play I will come back of we decide that it is NOT for a starter game. and if I don't than the game was perfect for learning D&D

Excellent value with the sets of dice (very nice quality) and everything you need to start your adventure. The module though - I'm not sure beginning players need that much backstory. That last part of the module - the tower and the big fight. You don't need pages of behind the scenes story. Let's get this over with, chief! I don't care who loved who - gimme my xps!

Really happy with this bundle. The handbook looks great, and the extra dice and bags are useful. Everything arrived in good condition. Nice set for someone getting into D&D.

My son was quite impressed and over the moon with this starter kit. The dice that come with it were vividly colored. He loved the character cards and was excited to get started. He was impressed with the art on the cover. Great value! He is excited to play and im looking forward to learning with his help.

It looks great! I bought this as a Christmas gift for my son as this was on his wishlist. I know he is super excited to receive this kit and I know that he will be taking this to all of his D and D games. The size is bigger than I thought it would be and the quality seem to be really nice as the box is heavy.

Its fine but for 70 dollars most of it shouldn't require me to own a printer. There isn't even a single blank character sheet. The scenarios decent, but you're basically paying 70 dollars for 20 bucks worth of dice.

A good alternative to the Starter Kit. I bought both, and I’m not regretting it. Only note that for both sets, the key thing you’re really purchasing is the campaign book. For the Essential Kit, I chose the one with the dice set and the extras, so I don’t have to purchase the dice separately. The extra content is good, and if you intend to go digital eventually, this is also ideal as you get a 50% discount on the PHB digital version. For me, I’ll still be purchasing hard copy. I read online that it is possible to fuse this and the starter kit campaign and run concurrently so if you’re thinking of doing that, definitely buy both. Between this and the starter kit, if you’re entirely new and have no clue what D&D is about, go for the starter kit. You don’t have to worry about the character creation and just jump into the thick of the game. If you have a little experience, or are ambitious, or have someone experienced who is willing to run the game for you, then Essential Kit is good to have as you’ll get more fluidity. Nevertheless, character sheets are online with Basic Rules for free, so this is really, in my opinion, a purchase of the campaign, and the hardware (book, dice, spell cards, and DM screen, etc). I would’ve preferred the character sheet in A4 size for printing though, and for filing in folders I suppose.

I got this for my sons christmas gift and it came damaged. Very disappointed especially since the coast of it is so high.
