Lucid Dreaming 101 an excellent introduction to lucid dreaming, maybe all you'll need besides the work
I first heard of lucid dreaming on a short radio program a few years ago. I made a mental note to investigate it but never got around to it until I stumbled upon this book. I'd never even done a Google search. This is a short book and an OMG experience. Chock full of great ideas, the theme is that you can empower yourself to navigate your own subconscious and discover/rediscover the power of imagination. It starts by learning to remember your dreams and then learning how to become aware that you are dreaming and maintain that awareness in your dream states. Thus, you develop the power of your imagination and discover subconscious psychological impediments you have in your quest for self discovery, and learn ultimately to overcome and eliminate them. The book includes a veritable blueprint for achieving these ends along with exercises, gimmicks/tricks, mental exercises, it is a cornucopia of wonderful techniques toward successfully developing the power of self-awareness through exploring the subconscious.I discovered this quite by accident by virtue of a site that presents low/no cost Kindle books. I have been getting occasional emails from them and I opened one and I visited a page where dozens of free Kindle Books were offered. I hit on around a dozen and the first one I read was this. It's not long, and quite wonderful, maybe the greatest book I've ever read. Yes, that seems almost a ridiculous thing to say, but truly, this thing is phenomenal. It's obvious to me that the author is very experienced and has done considerable research on the topic of lucid dreaming, believes in it deeply. The discussion about the history of lucid dreaming is apt, interesting, and spare. That brevity is actually one of the strengths of the book. The book's intention is not to give them an encyclopedic overview but to instruct the reader how to do it.In reading this (for me it was not two hours, I am not a fast reader and I like to read things slowly that interest me greatly), I was reminded of many things in my life, wonderful things that resonated, came back to my mind apropos things discussed by the author.I can say nothing concerning how this compares with the abundant literature available at Amazon on this subject, however I found this very instructive and didn't get the feeling that I was missing something. I don't know how I'd feel about this if I'd read other books on the topic, but from my perspective I have no problem recommending this as an excellent introduction to lucid dreaming. As far as I can tell, you won't need another. As the author clearly implies throughout, the subject of the investigation is not the topic of lucid dreaming, it's you!

Rip Off, do not buy this book
This book is a joke. All this information is available on Wikipedia or simple internet search. It is so basic and gives no information for someone who whats to learn how to lucid dream. 24 pages of oversize print (including the two blank pages in the back of the book), I read it an hour. I doubt if the author has ever had a lucid dream. If you want to know about lucid dreaming read Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen LaBerge and Howard Rheingold,Lucid or Dreaming, Plain and Simple: Tips and Techniques for Insight, Creativity, and Personal Growth by Robert Waggoner and Caroline McCreadyThese are real books. 101 is more of a pamphlet and does not give you any in depth information about lucid dreaming.I give it NO STARS but have to put one to accommodate this review.

A whole new world of information.
I have always been fascinated with dreams and have often wondered if I could remember all my dreams and engage with them to understand my inner world. This book has given me exactly that. I never thought it was possible to tap into the wisdom of our dreams and direct them to serve us. This books has given me ample knowledge and a lot of practical techniques to achieve a lucid dreaming state. The depth of research certainly validates the process and I loved the info on understanding our dreamscape and our sleep. This is a very unique book and I highly recommend it.

Clear, Concise and Interesting
I am intrigued by the idea of lucid dreaming and got this book to learn more about it and, hopefully, how to achieve it. The exercises described here seem straightforward enough although I suspect it will be quite challenging to actually achieve the desired result but I'm certainly going to give it a go, starting tonight.

I've always wondered about lucid dreaming and how one could learn to be aware in their dreams. This book was clear in it's information and the exercises included will be helpful in trying to lucid dream, though I'm sure it will take lots of practice first. Great book overall.

Great starter book on Lucid Dreaming. For more in depth discussion, however, pick up Stephen LaBerges books.
