My favorite in this series: 2 dust bunnies plus more!
I cannot believe I never wrote a review of this book. I love Jayne Ann Kentz books and all of her pseudonyms' books too. I have 5 paperback copies of this book according to Amazon. I guess when I cannot find one, I buy another. I have read this book over and over again. (I have read many JAK books over and over again.)Celinda's dust bunny is named Araminta. She is a very mischievous bunny and a very hungry bunny. Davis's dust bunny is named Max. He is a well behaved dust bunny (compared to Araminta) but he does like alcohol, beer, champagne, whatever! Both bunnies provide emotional support for their chosen humans.Davis and Celinda meet in her office. Davis is a PI who is searching for a missing rare alien relic that looks like a red drawer pull. Celinda had purchased it for Araminta from an inexpensive "antique" shop (my favorite kind, I like kitschy things) because Araminta went wild for it. There are indications in this book that dust bunnies have extremely strong paranormal senses; perhaps they can human read minds? It sure seems like it.Araminta runs off and hides the red alien relic so Davis (and Max too) are on bodyguard duty on Celinda and Araminta until she returns the relic.Davis and Celinda both had bad years the prior year. They have secrets that they eventually get around to telling each other. They are both attracted to each other immediately but Celinda is being cautious because she is a Covenant Marriage matchmaker and has a rare psychic power, the nature of which she keeps secret. Davis also has a rare ghost hunter type of psychic power which he keeps secret too (which is why he is a PI and not a ghost hunter).I love the wedding scenes in the book. They attend two weddings. I think the bunnies have the most fun at the weddings. If I own 5 paperbacks of this book and the Kindle version, you can bet the farm that I love this book.

What's not to like?
Dust bunnies. Happy endings. Mystery. Sexy stuff. Weddings. If I want reality I'll read the news. Another fun read and satisfying escape from real life.

Good
Though this is labeled book four in the series, it is actually book five of the Harmony Series: Bridal Jitters, After Dark, After Glow, and Ghost Hunter coming first; though Bridal Jitters is a novella, and After Dark with After Glow tell the story of one couple- who make a cameo appearance in this book. This one features marriage consultant Celinda Ingram, ghost hunter (of a special kind) and P.I. Davis Oakes, and their two dust bunnies Araminta and Max respectively. When Davis meets Celinda, he is on the trail of a missing relic, and when Araminta interferes, Davis is determined not to let Celinda out of his sight until he gets the relic back. Not that it is a terrible hardship, after all he and Celinda resonate well with each otherβ¦The two of them find themselves facing off with both a known and an unknown enemy, and dealing with some rather mischievous dust bunny antics in between dangerous adventures. While the dust bunnies have been entertaining in the other books, it is this one that began their reign of comic relief within the series. There are a few laugh out loud scenes that are very memorable, as well as their expected protective stance with their chosen companions. They somewhat outshine the main characters in the book at times, but it is all good, since the hero and heroine are still interesting enough for us to enjoy!Lots of action, adventure, and a few bad guys pepper the book, keeping the reader on their toes. With enough romance and dust bunny comedy to round it all out, fans of the series will enjoy it.Being the fifth book in the series, I do recommend you read the books in order, though it is not imperative some events from those previous books are referenced, and there are several cameos from the main characters of those books.Recommended for sci-fi romance and paranormal romance fans.

"To her, human psi waves were as distinctive as faces."
Celinda is a matchmaker, she sees every individual as unique, and thanks to her paranormal psi talent, she sees their true colors.Davis is from a Guild family, but he uses is unique talents for security and investigation work. When a case leads him to Celinda, he isn't in a frame of mind to think highly of matchmakers, but that doesn't stop him from asking her out.As with so many of these done in one books set on Harmony, I adored the dust bunnies. Protective and comforting little animals that choose a person to adopt and bond with.Davis and Celinda are both recovering from recent events and struggles, and in each other they find someone who understands, who recognizes their strength and helps them find ways to heal and move forward while helping others.
