AWESOME
I had been using a sharpener from Harbor Freight for 25 years and always wondered why my chains were never sharp like new. Now I know exactly what was wrong, that old one was junk. The first time I used it, it was absolutely amazing and setting up for cutting takes just a minute and then I was off to the races. It goes through a 20” maple that’s been laying on the pile for two years like a hot knife through butter saving me time and money. Thanks for the great product, I’m lovin it !RICK

Accurate chain sharpening
No more waiting to get chains sharpened. Should have bought one years ago. I bolted down to a bench. Works well and has quiet operation. Key is to know what type of chain and cut angles you have. Its a bit of a learning curve to get everything set up.. Thanks for including a dressing stick. You will need to dress the side of the wheel with this stick occasionally to keep wheel sharp and dressed.

Well made tool; yields much better results than i get manually filing
Had no idea how poorly a job I was doing sharpening my chains manually with files until I started using this. All my saws cut noticeably better now. This is also a lot quicker than messing with files. Pop the chain off the saw, adjust the grinder and then you just run an assembly line on it; super quick consistent results. I debated getting a harbor freight grinder for $30 but decided to splurge on this and happy I did. One of the reasons was the clamp mechanism that holds the chain in place seemed a lot more sturdy on this unit, but seemed super inconsistent and floppy on harbor freight unit. If the hold on the chain is not tight and consistent from cutter to cutter you're going to get poor results. The adjustment manual gives clear directions and is easy to follow for all types of oregon chain. The one thing which could be improved is the means by which you need to remove the the red plastic shield when switching between grinding wheels. You have to unscrew two phillips head and screws, I have a number of saws with different chain sizes and have to switch between wheels often, would be a lot more convenient to have some sort of quick locking mechanism rather than having to use a screwdriver constantly, and i fear at some point the threading in the red plastic piece will be stripped out after continual use
