Great for our Maine Coons
UPDATE: 3/20/25 - our Bravmini is still going strong. I use it often to get little tangles that I can't easily get out with a comb (don't want to hurt my Coons with tugging). Sometimes I have to buzz a bigger area where mats got bigger and it cuts right through them easily and quickly. You have to cut the hair at the right angle for the clipper to work so if it doesn't seem to be cutting for you, try from another direction. The main thing with this one for me is that it's nice and small and it's not very noisy. My Maine Coons don't mind it one bit. They'll lay there and let me clip away. I find that the charge really lasts. I can't say exactly how long but I rarely need to charge it. I have no complaints about the battery life. Funny thing, my husband took it last night to shave his neck and he really liked it! So I'm here to order another one for him (more sanitary if he has his own). He has had various electric razors for men, most are rotary I think, and never was impressed with any of them. But he likes the animal one! Haha! Seriously, this has been a great clipper for our cats. Maine Coons IMO are higher maintenance as far as grooming and clipping and this small, lightweight clipper makes that work much faster and easier for me. I keep it out on the bathroom counter all the time so that I can pick it up and use it in an instant. For me, this was a worthwhile purchase. ********************************************************************************************* ORIGINAL REVIEW: We have an Andis from years ago (I don't know how it rates with other Andis models) and a Wahl clipper for people. We have two Maine Coons and even when I groom them regularly they can get mats in their fur. If I let more time go by a mat can really get stubborn. In that case, I just want to cut it out instead of trying to comb it. It's faster and it's gentler on the cat. Our Andis wasn't cutting well (maybe need to replace blades) so I tired using the Wahl and it was much better than the Andis had ever been so I've been using it on the Coons however, it's pretty loud and when the Coons see my get it out, they run! I started looking at the Wahls for animals and decided on this one, the WAHL Professional Animal Bravmini+. I wanted another model but didn't want to spend that much and was concerned that I'd be disappointed with my choice. Nope, I'm not! The Bravmini+ arrived today and right out of the box it was ready to roll. I set up the charging station and then showed the clipper to one of the Maine Coons. He gave it a good sniffing, then I turned it on. Not much of a reaction from him. I'm guessing that is because it's not real loud but also, I think the cord on the other ones was a big deal to them. Also, the size of this mini isn't intimidating. So, I held my boy gently, showed him the clipper, turned it on and removed a couple mats from his hip. He just laid there. I got another one near his front leg and then adjusted him so that I could lift his head back and zipped off a couple knots on his neck. That is one area where they both get bad mats, there and in their long manes. It was so fast and easy using this mini and when I was done the Coon didn't run away, he just sat up and looked at me. I really think this is a great little clipper to use with our Maine Coons, and I think it will work for sanitary trims too. It's not real loud, sharp, feels good in the hand, and it's cordless. All big pluses. I feel like this was money well spent. And I like the berry/purple color but of course that doesn't matter to the functionality. I can't speak yet to the battery life because just arrived but I used it right out of the box and didn't have a power problem. Now it's on the dock getting a full charge so that I can introduce the bigger of our two Coons to it. If you're considering this model, you should give it a try. You can always return it but I think that unless it isn't suited to your needs you'll really like using it.

Blade sucks!! Clipper awesome!!
I have a love hate relationship with this! I absolutely love it because it does the job so perfect. I hate it because the blade doesn’t last long!!! I really don’t want to go without this while grooming a dog!!! Yet the blade just stops working. I guess I’ll have to by backup. The blades are so expensive though to order more than one!

Super weak
I feel I cannot write an honest review of this item as I feel I received a refurbished one.... Yes this was quiet, but the degree of quiet set a different decibel sound to a small puppy... and was bothersome... it tried to use on his tiny 12 week old paws, that are super clean and it did not cut.. I tried to use on my older dog and again it didn't cut her paws either... I then used it to try and shave the inner flap of her ears and it did cut, but took many swipes over the same spot to successfully trim it... and even then it looked choppy.. I honestly thought for $90 it would be super for small trims... that would be a big nope! And to think it is suppose to be able to use on Horsehairs... ha yeah right is about how I feel about that!

Quality clipper recommended by my Pro. Groomer friend
An excellent clipper for trimming the dogs face, feet ears. Lightweight and comfortable to hold. This is a replacement buy for the previous one which lasted 10 years.

Awesome!
This little thing is great! It's easy to use, even for those of us who are not professional groomers. It's not super loud, easy to handle, easy to grip. My only minor complaint is that you have to use the base to charge it. It would have been great if you could charge it by just connecting it to a charging cable without a base. A base is convenient if you have a dedicated space/area just for grooming, but I dont have that kind of space in the condo. I keep this trimmer and all its accessories in the box and just pull it out as needed. So for people like me, charging it like you would a cellphone (no base) would be easier. But thats just a minor thing. The trimmer itself works great, battery life seems pretty good so far. I've used it 3 times now just for my shih tzu's paws, belly, and sanitary area but havent needed to charge it yet. So far, so good!

Lightweight
Love that these are lightweight, small and easy to get small nooks especially on poodle feet. They are also quieter than the larger Wahl's - which are very effective for the top of dogs. Wonder though how these can be sold on Amazon without finding a .4 "MAGIC" blade to replace it. I'm ready and it looks like I have to go to the Wahl site directly. Why Amazon?

I don’t think I was sent a new clipper!
Very disappointed. I returned this clipper for several reasons. First the box it was packed in rattled like it was full of marbles. The box had a tiny seal that appeared as it had been opened prior; the clipper was in its designated cardboard slot but the rattle came from all other items (appliance cord, charging station, oil and brush) being disorganized and loose within the box. Nothing was in plastic wrap or orderly wrapped. I cannot imagine the original packing being so much in disarray. Additionally, the unit felt oily and simply did not appear “brand new”. It came with a charge but failed after a few seconds with a strong odor of machine oil (I did not even open the oil that came with it). Even so, I thought I’d try to give it a chance but when I attempted to charge the unit, the indicator light, which was suppose to blink according to the manual, never did. I charged it for a few hours, but it didn’t work as expected. It ran for about 15 seconds before it quit. Also, the manual it came with doesn’t even identify the unit as a Bravmini +; it is either generic or for a similar looking but different unit. Honestly, I think I either received a lemon or someone else’s return. No thanks. I will take a refund.
