Outstanding Garage Door Bottom Seal
Our existing garage door seals were 15+ years old and obviously shot. Neither one was cut right to begin with so rain, snow, leaves, etc. regularly got in. I watched a couple of videos on YouTube and figured this was very clearly a DIY thing that I shouldn't have trouble knocking out myself, which ended up being accurate. Both old seals came out with almost no effort, and these replacements went in relatively easy. After pulling out each of the seals, I used a brush to clean out the tracks, then sprayed a bead of garage door lubricant down each side of the 'T' track to ease in installation. The first one took maybe 45-60 minutes to do, and the second one half that. The trick is to hold the seal at an upward angle when you are pulling it onto the track so both 'T' sections of the seal stay in their respective tracks while being installed. I bet with a second person this would take maybe 15 minutes max. Once fully on the track, I used a utility knife to cut the excess off. The fit is perfect. Both doors close nice and snugly and required no adjustment on the garage door opener. I'm super interested to see how these do in the fall (high winds, leaves + debris blowing) and coming winter (snow). If anything changes with my review, I'll surely be back to update. But for now, absolutely 5 stars for a great price and clearly quality product.

Very solid and well constructed door seal...
Very solid and well constructed door seal...like many others, I was concerned with the seal received coiled up, but I laid them both out in the sun in the driveway for 45mins to an hour and all the indentations came out and it laid flat like a champ (see the attached pictures, the one on the left I put out first as a test run...the one on the right is what they both looked like after uncoiling. Then there's a second picture showing both after being in the sun)...I was very pleased with the results. The other thing that was concerning was the direction of the inner tube section. I kept a piece of the completed seal that was cut off from the ends after installation and noticed that the inner tube section had a different direction lean to it depending on which side view you're look at it. The concern was, does this direction lean have any effect on sealing and keeping the elements out. See pictures for reference, left view and right view. I had water infiltration before the new seal install, and after the replacement install, l have small appearances of light showing under my garage door at different points and have made door adjustments that will not totally get rid of them (but minimized them). So maybe it's imperfections in the concrete or could it be the direction of the inner tube section that is playing a part in this (see attached pictures of before and after door adjustment). AND I WILL NOT be taking the seal back off to install differently to see. This was not that easy to put on, even with two people, It kept coming out of the tracks at different points of sliding it on...and you really have to make sure that both sides of the "T" seal lips are firmly installed in the tracks groove or the seal will fall out of the tracks after opening and closing the garage door. I HIGHLY recommend having two people to install this. Be sure to clean the tracks out with a brush, repair any imperfections and apply lubricant as needed however, lubricant may work against you by allowing the seal to easily slide out as well. I even took the seal mounting rail off the garage door and laid it across saw horses to see if it would work any easier on the seal installation...the vote is still out on that, seeing that I have another 16 foot seal to install on my other second door. Some may consider this a mix review for leaving 5-stars, but I took a lot into consideration before pointing at the manufacture/seller as the issue for some of my woes because overall, these are a great upgrade and replacement seals with the addition of the inner tube section. Seems to be made of great quality and very solid construction. I don't believe the difficulty of putting the seal on is a manufacturing issue, you just have to be patient and pay attention when installing. I definitely would purchase these again in the future. I hope this long review helps someone out there.

Good overall, but Ripped easily during installation
Ok, after reading and watching all the scary installation videos, I read the comments and did the following to install this product on our 16' 2 car garage on a 2005 built home. 1) unrolled the product onto a flat surface on hot day ... which actually was pretty flat after the initial rollout and after and hour or two in the sub, the middle portion become partially tubular. No flat tub problem. 2) uninstalled the old bottom weatherstrip -- used a utility knife and cut it in the middle, and pulled each side portion off. This was easy, since there was no crimping of our track. I was looking for it and had a flat head screwdriver ready, but nothing to uncrimp. 3) Started to install and raised the door to about 3-4' about the ground. 4) Here is the secret to installing it: ** USE DAWN TURBOWASH ... spray it on both size of the track before sliding it into the groove. Do not install it without having the dawn on it. My wife also sprayed some into both the tracks as well. 5) My wife was the puller, and I was folding the rubber into a taco shape and holding the two "T" insides about 1" apart. I also made sure to spray the dawn turbowash on without fail. I would then lightly push while gliding it at an awkward angle into the track grooves while holding it like a soft shell taco (1" spaces) and keeping the striping aligned with the track (or above the tack, not below it). There was some problems during the installed. The first was the track on the weatherstrip would easily rip, and then it would not load into the track or would derail it from continuing to load. So we would back it out and ether reload it (difficult) or trim of the cut piece (usually just a few millimeters) and then continue (easier). We were generally loading about 12-17" at a time, just because we could only get the dawn on that big of a section at a time. 6) We got it fed all the way, and then went maybe another 3/4" beyond on either side and then trimmed the excess off the push/feed side. All in all it went well, definately did it under 1 hour, maybe 30 minutes if you follow this process. I was a bit disappointed that the strippign would derail and tear so easily. But I guess in retrospect ... just don't put it in too hard, and make sure the dawn it on there and you are feeding it as a taco with 1" spacing ... and push and pull as a team. Worked pretty great actually. PRoduct looks way better than what we had. The door doesn't quite close all the way, but I adjusted the downward pressure on the opener a bit and all seems well. If me and my wife can do it well under and hour ... just follow my tips and hopefully it helps a bunch. DO NOT USE WD40 or any petroleum lube on rubber. The dawn dish detergent, in the spray form, was perfect. Likely better than silicone.

INSTALL TIPS
This a solid product but the installation is cumbersome. It helps if you have a second person. Here are some tips: 1. Remove the old seal, get a bucket of hot water with cleaner and a stiff brush and clean the entire track out end to end. 2. Get a flashlight, pair of pliers and the nozzle of a compressor. Walk along the entire track blowing out anything in the track. Inspect the track and if you see any part of the track bent out or in address it with the pliers. The gaps on both sides should be the same and consistent for the entire length. 3. Spray about 5 feet of the track and the rubber seal with silicone spray. Silicone will not degrade the rubber. 4. Slide 1 end of the rubber on the tracks and pull while your helper stands at the end and ensures the rubber feeds evenly and smoothly. You pull ....he pushes. 5. Reapply silicone to the track the rubber as you move along. 6. When you get a little further than half way on the 16 foot door it's going to get harder to pull. There's about 9 inches of extra rubber so I used a pair of pliers to get a good grip and pull harder. Don't be afraid or too cheap to use plenty of silicone spray. The silicone is your friend.

Out with the old, in with the new!!!
Product was not hard to install. The night before I unrolled it in my garage to get ready for installation the next day. I took everyone’s recommendation and cleaned out the track for easy install. This job in my opinion is a one person job. You have to have patience and use your strength to get the new seal from one end of garage to the other. I took a box cutter and cut the old one out, then I cleaned the track that carries the garage seal to get old dirt from the track. Make sure you purchase the right garage seal for your specific garage. I highly recommend this product!!!

7.5 months of constant headache! Difficult to install, constantly pops off the garage door track.
We purchased the 16' rubber garage door seal (Chamberlain standard garage door) in January after reading reviews and watching a couple of youtube installation videos for this product. My husband is 6'2" and I'm 5'3. We are 50yrs old. It took both of us a couple of hours to remove the old one and install the new one. I had to stand on a ladder. Our shoulders and necked burn from straining to get the old one and trying repeatedly to install the new one. Before we installed the new one we used very brushes and soap and scrubbed the track clean. Then we lubed it as others suggested. Numerous times during installing the new one, it would pop out. First we tried to use a flat head screw driver to pop it back it. Eventually we had to pull it out and start again. Several times. Today we raised the garage door and 75% of it was off the track. We pulled the entire thing. Twice tried rethreading but constantly popping out. Insert numerous swear words. Husband decided to cut it into 48" sections. We just finished 1hr 15 minutes. We will see. We didn't lube it this time thinking that the lube that helped it glide into the metal grooves, may assist part of the t-shaped rubber into popping out of the grooves. My shoulders are burning. My neck hurts. My husband has a headache. A two-man job for sure. One person begins threading it through the end of the metal rail, standing in the garage. The other (me) on a ladder that must be moved every two feet, on the outside of the garage door, looking in and pulling. Gently. tug, tug, tug, (sometimes only able to get it to move 1/8-1/4" at a time) constantly checking for pop-outs. If a pop-out, pull it back, back, back. Start again. Surely there must be a better product and a better solution for keeping out water and rodents. I tried googling it today. I see the local big box has a product well over 200 big ones, but with 4-star reviews only. I would def pay for them to have someone install if they guaranteed their work to stay in place, but it doesn't look like installation of that product for garage doors is an option. How much is a brand new door? You'll be thinking about it at some point amid all your frustration. Again, after using the product nearly 8 months and having to repair it numerous times, we would never suggest this product to anyone. Caught between a rock and a hard place.

Not the easiest install, but not sure it's the products fault. Used this install method..
I just got this installed, so I don't have much to say as far as how durable it is, but it seems solid enough. I didn't have anyone to help me out with the initial part of the install, so I had to do it a bit different from some of the other install methods I'm seeing. It was just too difficult to hold up and try to feed it into the rails, so I just took the entire bottom bracket off the garage door so I could set it on the ground and work from there. Much easier, but it was still a bit of work to get it all on there. I used the dish soap and water method and fed a little on at a time. Once it gets on there far enough you have to inch it along; feed a bit from the end until it acts like it doesn't want to go on any more, then go to the other end and pull it from there. Then just go back and forth. It's tedious, but not horrible. It really would be easier with a second person, even this way, but it's completely doable on your own. Where it becomes more necessary to have a second person is probably when it comes to reattaching the whole thing back onto the bottom of the garage door. It's heavier and flops around. Maybe if you had an adjustable ladder or something and could prop it up on one end it's possible to do it on your own as well, but by the time I got to this point I had some help holding it up. I did have to make an adjustment to my garage door because it didn't want to close due to the extra thickness of the new seal, but that wasn't a big deal either. Just consult your manual or youtube for instructions on this as every door is different. Overall, the process took me a couple hours from start to finish mostly on my own. I wasn't really in any rush though, so maybe you'd be quicker! Again, time will tell as far as how durable and long-lasting it is, but I don't have any reason to believe it won't last for quite a while. There are some comments on the length. Definitely buy a bit larger than you need. Much easier to cut off excess than have it be short! I'd also recommend not cutting it until it's on as it's rubber and stretches, etc. It's easy to cut with just a utility knife after it's installed.

Works but mice will eat it.
Watch out as mice will eat through this type of plastic. Easy to install and just a little extra length as needed.

Nice Quality. Easy installation.
Here's what I did for an EFFORTLESS installation 1. Remove the old one and clean the inside of the tracks with small brush. 2. Lube the heck out of the tracks with a silicone lubricant spray. The tracks were was literally dripping from the silicone spray! 3. Start from one side and slowly push it inside the tracks. I did a 16 feet garage door in about 5 minutes top! 4. Trim to it if too long. Voilà! Done! Don't know why some say it is flimsy or that it readily tears... For sure, if you pull on it like mad, it will tear. Just push it slowly from one side once liberally lubed!
