The zoom on this one is AMAZING! The Perfect Camera.
I have an entire setup of cameras from SV3C for years now, my first ones are from 8-0 years ago, 720P resolution, and they still work (been under the sun and rain for almost a decade). So I kept on buying them and renewing the stock for my 2 homes. This one is definitely the BEST CAMERA I tried from them. Adding to the usual great performance of CAM HI app and HiP2p PC client (the camera is compatible), and the outstanding image quality, now we add a superb optical zoom! 20 X....Ia had a 5x one from them and was already amazing, but this one is just incredible. Pros: 1. CAMHI is my favorite, easy to setup the camera with the Lan search feature (recommended to first connect with wire to router, then setup the wifi, then take to the final place and install). 2. Outstanding case. The camera looks solid, like to last forever. 3. ONVIF certified (compatible with any Onvif PC clients like Blueiris and HiP2P) 4. Easy to mount. 5. Very Good Wifi range. 6. Great 2 way audio. The microphone captures noise from far away, it is surprising how far it goes. 7. Smart tracking of humanoid form works like a charm. 8. Image quality at both day and night is outstanding. 9. Continuous SD recording with Web access (thru the app or pc client), without the need of paying a recurring fee for cloud. 10. The movement of the camera is fast, and easy to control. Cons. No cons....I honestly don't see a downside on this one. Perfect Surveillance camera.

Solid Camera for the outdoors.
The SV3C 5MP PTZ Outdoor Security IP Camera offers a robust set of features for outdoor surveillance, including a high-resolution 5MP sensor, PTZ functionality and floodlight-assisted color night vision. It supports dual-band WiFi, the camera's full metal housing ensures durability in harsh weather conditions, making it suitable for outdoor installations. It also supports ONVIF and RTSP protocols, allowing integration with third-party software and I can confirm it works with Blue Iris. It is viewable through a web browser locally also. It has 20X Optical Zoom which you can see in the video. The camera does excel in image quality and build durability to me. It provides clear video even in low-light conditions as you can see in the night picture. The PTZ functionality allows for comprehensive area coverage. Overall, this camera is a strong contender for those seeking high-resolution outdoor surveillance with robust build quality.

Do not buy, not reliable
Great picture when it works, constantly disconnected from wifi. No customer service from company available. Do not buy this brand if you want to view it from away. SD card is almost impossible to put in. Wish I could return them.

Good camera with nice features
This camera is pretty good, the only real con I have for it is that it's own mechanisms can be heard on audio when it moves to view different areas. Not really a big deal to me and other than that, It's a great camera

AMAZING CAMERA - GREAT VALUE!
I’ve previously purchased SV3C products before but this one for sure takes the cake! Pretty awesome camera for the value! I’ve previously owned “Ring” cameras as well as Costco cameras. Most are usually problematic when it comes to the power source and internet connectivity. I’m going to outline the Pro’s and Con’s about this camera. I was going to give it 4 stars but when you compare it with other cameras currently in the market as of 2022, you can’t beat the price, service and overall features. Pro’s: The camera itself swivels pretty nicely. Once you get used to it, you can see how it can be moved 180 degrees left to right and up and down. The ZOOM feature can zoom up to 18X. It does take a while to zoom but you can see how CLEAR the feature is (the video shows the plant through the bushes). The alarm is LOUD!!! Very loud! About 2-3 times louder than the smaller SV3C (5mp model). Night vision is clear as you can see. The color is vivid and most activity (criminal at least) happens between 2-4am which is when most people are asleep. While thefts do occur during the day, it seems that timeframe is PEAK for criminals. The app (CamHi) is fairly easy to use. The language isn’t great but it’s definitely understandable and easy to follow once you get the gist of things. The camera is very sturdy and can withstand very high winds!!! Today winds were at 35MPH and the camera didn’t move. Con’s: The humanoid feature is NOT as strong as the smaller version but I figured this out AFTER the camera was upside down. The camera CAN swivel a FULL 180 degrees on ALL sides. So it’s pretty hard figuring out which side is UP or DOWN. Once the orientation is correct, the humanoid alarm DOES go off. I wish the camera could say: “this side up or this side down”. Moving the camera DOES take a while. If you are connected directly to the internet (hard connection) then it’s easier to use. Mine is on wifi and the camera is outside. Closest wifi is about 300ft. So my 1GBPS turns out more like 5mbps outside the house. The power cord could be a little longer. Mine was JUST long enough to be placed in the middle but I wish there was an extra 5-10ft of length to allow the camera to be placed just about anywhere. Overall the benefits FAR outweigh the Con’s. The Con’s are more a personal taste and concern for me. I can see why they did what they did (set up). It’s pretty impressive and for what the product offers, it seems to be worth the cost. Maintenance was a bit more difficult than usual given that I placed my camera about 20 feet UP (center of the house). I installed a small wood square that was secure to another piece of wood before securing the camera onto that platform (see pictures). If you have never installed a camera like this, I would recommend you pay a professional installer as this is not an easy thing to do. Installed ANY camera this high up is NOT easy. You have to be very careful and ensure it is secure. I hope this review helps you make a decision as other reviews helped me make mine.

Suits my purposes but has room for improvement
I bought this camera for use as an owl cam to photograph Eastern Screech Owls who I hope will adopt the box I made for them on the basketball hoop. The first thing I noticed about it is the limited range of motion. I note that the intended purpose of the camera is as a security camera. Consequently, it is designed to look down. Having said that, I'm surprised that it doesn't allow any upward gaze at all, not even slightly up. If you live at the bottom of a hill and need to photograph something up the hill, this camera may not be appropriate. For my purposes, I added shims to tilt the camera in order to get a view of the box, hence the tilted picture. The next thing I noticed was that the camera re-focuses frequently using default settings. This is annoying, particularly when the refocus occurs DURING a planned video. Refocusing is fine and appreciated, but it should happen between clips, not during clips, unless it can do so accurately during the clip, which it can't. The focus system works by using an algorithm where it makes adjustments and tests focus iteratively until it figures the subject is in focus. It can't focus like a DSLR where it can tell how to adjust focus and then do it in one step. The result is a video with focus jumping back and forth. After discussing this with support, and considering my application works well with a preset focus, they sent me a command to disable auto-focus. This works fine except that IR focus is at a different position than full color focus, so the focus has to be manually adjusted each dawn and each dusk. I am not able to test the PC software, since I don't have a PC. Also there is no Mac software. Instead, there is a web interface. Settings can be made using the web interface, but it doesn't appear that a high resolution view is available through the web interface. However, there is also an iOS app, which I use on the iPad. This is much better than the web view, and the full resolution image can be previewed on the iPad. I'll review that software separately in the app store. Images are saved on SD card in a directory structure that saves no more than 200 images in a folder before a new folder is created. This makes downloading the images cumbersome using the web interface. Copying directly from the SD card is even more combersome since it is not easy to simply pop out the SD card to download the data and then pop it back in (not to mention nothing will be recorded while the SD card is out of the device). The zoom is as advertised, but, as expected, the resolution is lacking at full zoom. Resizing images at 10X are probably just as good as zooming to 20X, except that the file size for the latter would be smaller, so more images can be saved on a card. The web interface for setting up when images or videos are recorded is cumbersome for repeated scheduled events. You have to click a box for each time slot you want to record. For example, you can't tell it to take a photo every 30 minutes 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For that, you'd have to check 48 boxes a day for 7 days for a total of 336 boxes. But at least it works. The audio recording quality is very poor. There are only two codecs available, and both are designed for speaking, so low and high pitches are not recorded with fidelity. Similarly, video is highly compressed, even at the highest quality setting. This allows more media to be captured on the card, but the quality could be better with a firmware update. Support is very responsive and answered any question I had, including providing me a sheet of all the commands that can be sent to the camera, although some of them did not seem to function as described. For my use, I have a separate IR illumination source. To prevent eye shine, I'd like the camera's IR source to be turned off. There doesn't seem to be away to do this. To record in IR, two things happen. A filter to block IR is opened, and the IR lights are turned on. I would like to have the filter open but the lights off. For now I've covered the lights with aluminum foil (black tape is transparent to IR light). That's a problem, though, if the camera needs to move around, which it does every time there is a power outage, during its startup sequence.

Excellent image with 20x zoom capability
This camera was easy to set up using the CamiHiPro app on my phone. Once the IP address was set following their instructions, I used my browser by entering the cam’s IP address. The browser HTML app has additional capabilities, like making the IP address static. I added a 128 GB SD card. I use SD cards that are made for outdoor security cameras as they are subjected to frequent weather changes and conditions. On the camera, I store 5 minutes of alarm-triggered video. I FTP alarm images (1-3) to my FTP server. It also was easy to connect using the BlueIris NVR. On BI, I continuously record videos, with alarm markers. I have used email features in the past, but I like FTP better. Note that before I hang a camera, I have a test bed setup to make sure everything works, especially the wifi. There is nothing worse than having to climb the ladder to reset the wifi. The metal camera body is sturdy, with IP66-level waterproofing. Night vision is up to 196’, with 6 infrared lights. The camera features humanoid detection to reduce false alarms, which is a major time saver for me, especially in front of my house, due to vehicle traffic. The wifi is much better than the camera it replaced. That cam had a few drops per day, and the signal strength was marginal. This new cam’s wifi is superior. The 5MP high-resolution image produced is very good. It is clear and sharp. The 20x zoom is quick and auto-focuses well. Currently, I don’t use the two-way audio but intend to check it out soon. I think it will add another dimension to my security profile. Overall, I like this camera because it upgrades my home security capability.

Great camera, great costumer service
Something happened about a month ago when I lost power and I believe my phone updated around the same time and I can no longer use this camera when I was away from home, it only worked while at home connected to starving. I contacted customer service told them the camera worked awesome but it quit working when I was away from home with cell phone. Customer service immediately called me back and we could not figure out why it was not working. I was pretty upset about this but last night I went on my starlink app and realized that somehow the camera got paused? So glad I got this figured out because the camera Works absolutely incredible I consume way into the woods and even at night and the video is awesome. I will definitely be purchasing another one when I can afford it, 5mp is the only way to!!! This picture is about 60 yards away from the camera but even at over a hundred it can zoom in on everything and you get a perfect video
