I have purchased core supports in the past for other Vw mk5 platforms and there’s always been some finagling and modifying to get these to fit properly! This was not the case with this item! Went on like melting butter and every single bolt hole lines up exactly where it was supposed to

I am very happy with this part. I sell auto parts and this part fit great. I tried to get this part from the Dealership and they did not have it.

JUNK!!! Took a lot of custom work because NONE of the holes lined up!!! Some holes came with screws already broken off in them. The plastic feels sturdy, but it isn't an easy install. Had to do a lot of drilling and thru bolting. I only bought because no junkyards around me have the part. I checked them all... I still feel like tearing 10 cars apart and driving to 8 different junkyards was easier than making this part fit, if that tells you anything about the quality.

The part was delivered in a cardboard box with no damage, and was delivered quickly, on the short side of the estimated delivery range. On first inspection, I thought the part was somewhat flimsy, but it is very close to the quality of the original part, with a couple exceptions. First, the positive: All the holes to install the part to the car lined up beautifully. The part was a perfect fit between the mounting brackets on the car, having to be neither stretched or compressed to bolt in. Also, there are molded-in metal inserts to attach the bumper cover bracket and the side bracket, just like the original. Where this fell short is the crash sensors that mount to either side. The original had threaded inserts that secured the sensors with a single screw. This bracket only had a through-hole in this area, which will require a nut to go onto the screw from one side. I looked for nuts included in the packaging but don’t find any. Had I known, I could have gotten these nuts ahead of the repair and saved some time. Also, the hole for the prop rod clip was partially covered with plastic. I had to use a drill bit and small file to open the hole up enough to install the clip Overall, I think this part was good value for the money for the DIY’er with decent skills, but I’m not sure I would recommend for a mechanic working in a shop where time is money. However, I would buy it again if needed

We tried several times to buy this part from other companies and were always disappointed with incorrect or broken parts. This one fit perfectly and installed easily. The quality is very good, too. When ordering any part for VW Jettas, get the part number from the part you are replacing as those listed in the shop manuals and online are almost always wrong. Save yourself some aggravation and time.

Many of the holes not predrilled like they should be to use oem fasteners. Basic deburring not performed so I had to spend time doing that. Grill openings for loc tabs not properly sized so those has to be cut open to accommodate the factory grille. Holes to fasten bumper are larger than factory which means I had to go find larger screws. Overall the savings was not worth the extra man hours needed to make this ready to use.
