12 per case. The next step in providing high quality food for your dog would be literally buying human grade food and making it fresh yourself. The New Zealand Green Mussels (only found in Ziwi as far as I am aware) provide an Ami-Inflammatory Omega 3 fatty acid that cannot be found elsewhere. The Mackeral formula includes two others (EPA/DHA), which also can be added to your dog's diet via Salmon Oil. There are many published peer reviewed sources in scientific journals that show this slows degradation of cartilage. I have a 14 year old 80 lb Blue Heeler that has responded extremely well to Kiwi & I can personally attest to the fresh smell of it, incomparable to other premium canned foods. I have been feeding him Orijin+Salmon oil for about ten years, having only recently switched to Kiwi.

Is the 13 oz. an old batch - in other words, does it contain carrageenan or agar agar?

The last two shipments we got did contain agar agar but not carrageenan.

Can I feed this to cats? The 13.5 oz is more affordable than the 6.5 oz when you have several cats.

There is nothing in our dog formulations that will harm your cat, as both our recipes for dogs and cats contain similar ingredients. However, because each recipe contains the vitamins and minerals to meet the specific nutritional needs of each species (and cats actually do have some very specific needs not met by our dog formulations), we recommend you feed your pet's particular species formula.

Something That Hasn’t Become Another Terrible Product

It’s great quality food, expensive but it’s for those dogs getting better food than the person buying it lol. ADVICE: Pick one of Ziwi’s products and stick to it. I tried swapping the air dried and the canned food once or twice for variety ended up with a lot of wasted food because I found myself with a diva who wanted everything and nothing.

Dogs love it, convenient alternative to home made

Excellent for wet canned food. We alternate this with home made and other limited ingredient foods. The cans have pull tops so they are perfect for hiking, camping and road trips, and just so convenient. For best digestion our dogs have this mixed with their veggies. Smells fresh, seems very nutritious as Ziwi adds lustre to their coats (both furry and hairy breeds). Our dogs seem to love all of the Ziwi products they've had. They are higher priced but dogs are more content, energy balanced and healthy. We won't be ordering here anymore as we receive too many damaged items. Ziwi can be found in local stores.

A great addition to kibble

My French Bulldog loves this tasty, high grade wet food added to his kibble for flavor. Lamb and Lamb and Makrel are his favorites. 1tsp added to his meals and he loves it.

Buy this brand for both cat and dog! We love this brand!

Originally got the cat wet food for her health issues. Dog took one good sniff of us preparing her food and upon realization that his bowl did not include whatever she was having he refused to eat more than a bite or two for a few days. He would sit with his back to his bowl just watching the cat eat. So here we are. We buy a case of this about every 6-8 weeks. We mix a good heaping spoon full into every meal he has. Happy dog = happy home. Worth every penny.
