This rug is amazing! I was expecting it to be rough and stiff but it is far from it. It came out of the packaging soft and easy to handle. It lays well and is perfect for our room. I have not washed it yet but I don't think it will be an issue. It stays in place, doesn't slide at all even without backing. I use it indoors instead of outdoors since it's so soft.

Great colors that are true to the picture. Sadly, it did come with quite a few snags in it already. Not super soft or thick. It took a while to flatten out, and now seems to be stretching out a bit (we have it held down with rug stickers).

This is a really nice rug at a great price. Based on the reviews, I was a little worried about it being too thin but it's the same thickness as the original braid rugs I owned years ago. Also, contrary to other reviews, I have not found it particularly slippery. I put it down over linoleum in the kitchen and it stays in place with no pads or stickers. I suppose if you had a household full of kids that could be a concern, but not for adults. Good, warm colors, sturdy, and fast shipping. Thank you!

First, it’s a beautiful rug & I love it. But, I washed it since it says it is washable and the first time it was washed, it started to come apart!! I washed it on delicate, in a large capacity front loader (no agitator) and when I took it out, you could see the separation. I never put it in the dryer & laid it out to dry. I really want to love this rug but now I can never wash it again and I will most likely have to try and hand stitch it back together in those places if that’s even possible. Otherwise, it’s beautiful & soft!

I really like all my rugs except for the 5*8 and it’s like it is trying to come loose in places. They are really soft the colors are nice. Shipping was good. I give it a three because of the one rug.

This is so durable and cute. My cat was scratching at it like crazy and you can’t even tell.

5'X8' oval Safavieh rug. This is my second Safavieh rug, The first one was 4'X6'. Top quality cotton, very well made. Impressive. Wanted another one, bigger. Like the first one description said Cotton, meticulous handwoven and quality made. What can go wrong? Once received, sticker inside the rug describes it as 100% polypropylene (plastic), made in China. Very cheap, shiny. Knots everywhere and on both sides so no way to hide any defects and believe me there's a lot. Looks awful. No more Safavieh for me as their description is incorrect and unreliable. You'll know what you bought once you receive it. This rug was put on my wish list at full price but decided to buy following a substantial reduced tag, so I'll eat it up. Cats will be very happy cause soon they'll go at it and on this carpet, I'll let it slide...
