Can someone without contacts use this for dry eyes?

I don't know why you couldn't. Though it's probably more expensive than drops just for eyes. I only use one contact, but I put it in both eyes in the morning and after hot yoga when my eyes are dry.

You can use it anytime. I put a couple of drops in my eyes before putting in my contacts and any time during the day that my eyes feel dry or gritty.

the instruction says to throw them away 90 days after opening them. Is that the expiration date?

No, it's not the expiration date they can stay unopen for a long time but you're only supposed to use them 90 days after the first day of them being open, I assume so it's less likely you get an eye infection.

Does this work well with soft lenses. And will it mess up my contacts if I use a different contact solution then this brand?

This product is made for use with soft contact lenses. Should not matter what solution you use.
