I was a little skeptical about this stool, but I am pleasantly surprised at how sturdy it actually is! It took about 20 minutes to put together with the tools provided. It's heavy, but not overly so, and looks great in my space. I like that I can adjust the height of the seat if needed. It has a cool 'used' look that makes it seem like you've had it forever. Very happy with my purchase!

Very nice piece looks good in pictures. Makes a really nice prop, adjustable for height, so it's awesome for head shots. Definitely add this if you're photographer or just someone who likes cool pieces in their house.

I bought this variable seat height chair to be able to sit down while doing the dishes at the kitchen sink. I believe it works fine for that function. I weight 255 to 260 pounds, and I believe that this chair will hold my weight without breaking. Time will tell. The construction is a mixture of steel welds, and bolted together sections. It's definitely retro looking, which suits me fine. The seat appears to be made well enough to cushion my butt, and I believe it might last without the cover material cracking, as long as I sit in the middle of the seat, evenly distributing my weight. I think if you are an "edge sitter" who likes to sit on the edge of chairs, that the covering material might be stressed too much, eventually tearing. This chair's lowest possible height is 25.5" with the "locking threaded ring wheel" removed. The threaded nut at the center of the "locking threaded ring wheel" is 1.0", so by revoving this wheel, you can sit 1" lower without it. Assuming you leave 1" of thread engaged, the max seat height is 33.0", with the seat not compressed by a load. Roger Louie 11-23-2019 12:45am

Love love love these . Bought 4 to go in my newly remodeled basement bar. Got the dark blue w grayish cushion. Love the pop of color . Made well and worth the price .

I bought this to use with an antique watchmakers desk since it appears old even if not. It was easy to assemble, seems very sturdy, has a HUGE about of adjustability, and does fit well with the age of the desk. The feet are adjustable to get it to set level and securely on a hard floor and the feet are padded. It took about 10 minutes to assemble requiring 2 tools, a hex key and a small adjustable wrench. It CAME with two stamped open ended "wrenches" that were useless. They are so soft that it was impossible to tighten bolts with them, they just deformed and slipped with the first attempt. If you have a small adjustable wrench you are good to go. Comfort? It is as comfortable as a hard wood bench seat is supposed to be. Once assembled it appears to be sturdy enough to last a while. I was skeptical for the price paid, but now happy I purchased it.

Love the way these look and stand out in my house. After putting three of them together, I can safely say assembly is pretty quick and easy. They seem to be made of fairly sturdy materials and even my 380lb butt feels safe on them. They are stools though, so comfort isn't going to be amazing... but for stools the soft seats aren't half bad.

Really easy to assemble! The seat is also very confortable for longer period (i.e if working on my computer). The only thing is that the height is not what is stated in the description. The lowest setting (which is what you see on the picture) is 26 inches and not 24 inches. Also, the stools are sturdy and quite stable except if you lean on the footrest while getting up or sitting down which will make the stool fall over. Otherwise, these are great stools for a industrial/Steampunk look at a great price! I would recommend!
