Worked great on my old galvanized chimney chase cap
My 30+ year old galvanized chimney chase cap was rusting out. I had it replaced with a stainless steel cap. The chimney contractor told me disposal of the old cap was my responsibility. The town where I live wanted me to make a special appointment to pick up the intact chimney chase cap and pay a $25 pick up fee so I did some research. The town where I live says it’s OK to put anything non-toxic that fits in their trash bin. I used this diamond wheel to chop up the galvanized metal cap so it would fit in my trash bin. Once I got the wheel started, it cut the 16 gauge galvanized sheet steel almost as fast as I could move the angle grinder. It took me 15 minutes to cut the old cap into pieces. This Diamond wheel is far superior to the vitrified cutoff wheels that are a mess and degrade quickly. The rapidly decreasing diameter of the vitrified wheels also make them cut slower. So I played by the town and waste law rules, didn’t violate any environmental laws and got rid of the cap thanks to this Diamond cutoff wheel. As you can see, I made it fit in the trash can. Hope that helps!

Excellent cutting tool disc
This disc is tough as nails and long-lasting. Cuts angle iron like butta. Highly recommended.

Nice Slices
Wheel is nicely made for quick clean cuts on small metal pieces.Sliced through 1/4 X 4" like a hot knife through butter. no worries about blade shrinkage from wear down. blade is thin and rigid which allows you to make very straight cuts. Caution; make sure you have the right sized arbor on the lock nut. I had to buy an adapter to get mines to fit my Makita (5/8 to 7/8) SHDIATOOL 7/8-Inch to 5/8-Inch Saw Blade 1.0mm-1.2mm Thickness Bushing(10-Pack). Makita has screwy dimensions for its small angle grinders. The spindle is 10mm-1.25 but the flange is 5/8ths.

Industrial Setting Usage here
Using it, I am, as recommended (letting it cool off per schedule) is working well for me. From hot rolled metal to rebar to chrome vanadium I have had no problem in the way it handles cutting the metal I have used it to cut. The only issues: a) fitting it over the spindle; it came to me not as a slip fit but a press fit. I found this and still do find this aggravating for the extra delicate installation that is needed to fit it over and onto the spindle; b) once the label material wears off the disc is too thin to be held by the flange nut to keep it from spinning. I used some shim material to make a washer but at the price I paid this should not be happening.

Yes!!! Another project DONE.
Needed a 30 foot section of fence made of 1850s heavy gauge 4" by 1/4" angle iron cut down. Tired of waiting for contractors. Everything else we tried with our CRAFTSMAN Angle Grinder produced smoke and melted grinding wheels. After reading reviews, bought two of these blades. Ordered on Sunday, received on Monday, got the fence down and in the scrap iron pile in under 2 hours Monday afternoon. Cut thru the angle iron as well as some obstructing concrete and half inch bolts. Blade sent showers of sparks flying like 4th of July sparklers, but still looks serviceable if not brand new. Worked so well we went back and cut off a couple old steel fence posts that had killed a few hacksaw blades. Never even opened the second blade's package but keeping it for a spare. Would definitely recommend for any heavy metal cutting and grinding. No more contractors. Just more power tools.

Goodbye abrasive cutoff wheels!
110% completely worth it. This thing has been taking a incredible amount of abuse and just keeps on cutting. Does take slightly (mere seconds) longer to cut through stuff but the cuts are clean. There is 1 draw back however, while it doesn't leave that abrasive dust everywhere which by itself is a huge plus. It does leave a layer of tiny metal shards laying about. And much like the metal shards left by a carbide die grinder they are sharp and will cause irritation and pain if not carefully blown or vaccumed off of yourself.

so far I love it!!
First it cuts clean I don't get filthy with the dust and debris like with the normal cutting discs. Second so far it has cut every type of steel I've tried it on. Third it doesn't break into little pieces throwing shrapnel at me which often hurt like hell. So far the only downside is that it cuts quite a bit slower than the composite discs. if it lasts a decent amount of cuts I'll definitely be buying another. haven't had and used it long enough to know durability and longevity I'll update later as I use this near every day on the clock. So far I'm very happy and impressed with it. Update #1 Jan 26 2023 it still works like it did when new and I'm probably at around 350+ cuts, very happy with this!!

Cuts less than half speed but without sparks, dust and stink.
I just cut some 3x3 by 1/4 inch angle iron, and I did a comparison between this and some Pretec abrasive cutting wheels. I was very pleased on the first cut with this diamond blade, but with each cut it slowed significantly. By the third cut, I estimated that it took 3 times as long as the thin kerf Pretec discs. That was really discouraging, as otherwise I love the lack of stink, dust, and sparks. The Pretec standard abrasive discs would only last for 2 cuts each. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C6CY2DPJ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 But I can get quite a stack for the price of one of these, and I was not able to stand the cutting speed of these after just 3 cuts. On each cut, they got slower. On in-shop smaller jobs or thinner stock, the lack of dust, stink and sparks may make me consider it. For outdoor work on heavier stock I'll stick to the Pretec abrasive disks.

Corta bien, y muestra poco desgaste
