Decent sauce for premade jar
Doesn’t taste like butter masala at Indian restaurants but it’s not as salty…theres less spices. Still it’s good for a quick dinner. Sauté your choice of protein and add as much sauce to make it flavorful …add veggies.. simple, tasty meal. We always have a side of rice for dinner.. again prob better sauces on the market but for a healthier, less sodium version, this isn’t bad.

The best Indian sauce in a jar we’ve had, which makes some of the best Indian we’ve had!!
This sauce is the perfect thing to tie everything together in a quick weeknight low-carb dinner that really satisfies. We eat good Indian food a lot in our household, and the flavor of this sauce really holds up authenticity-wise. It has fantastic depth of flavor. It is not at all spicy, so we tend to add spice to the meat, cheese, veggies, etc. during sautéing before adding the sauce. Without using a rice or something to soak it up, 2 jars of this easily makes 3 meals for 2.Highly recommended to sauté/brown chicken halfway, then add paneer and sauté until done, then add sauce and simmer 10-15 min, then remove and re-fry the paneer in butter in another pan. It makes a fabulous healthy dish that’s got fantastic macros for keto and low carb diets.

Meh. Tastes strange.
We had the butter chicken sauce. I love butter chicken. I did not love this. The Mayura butter chicken sauce is delicious and slightly sweet and savory- if you can find that, get it! That's what I'm comparing this to- not to restaurant sauces. This has a kind of harsh taste with a weird sour aftertaste. Neither my husband nor I liked it. I'm sad about it because I don't want to try to make it from scratch. I am hoping to find another one (can't find Mayura at Costco any more) that's just dump, heat, and serve. Got suggestions?

Great simmer sauce
We like butter masala and tiki masala quite a bit. I worked in India and found that the complexity of the spices and sauces were amazing. I never tired of the variety of sauces. We lived in Fiji and one half of the population is Indian so we had plenty of variety of spices and flavors there as well. It is very nice to simply buy a pre-made sauce and then add your ingredients. I use it with chicken and add peppers and onions and garlic. Maybe I add some kalamata olives as well. The nice thing about cooking at home (during this virus period) is that you can cook things the way you want. We serve the result with basmati or jasmine rice. This is on subscribe and save so enjoy it while you can.

Absolutely delicious
Sooooo good. I sautéed chopped chicken breast in olive oil with yellow onion and garlic before pouring this sauce over and letting it simmer. Served on top of jasmine rice with a side of broccoli and naan! Best easy weeknight dinner I’ve made in a while! Tastes very similar to the butter chicken at my fave Indian restaurant. Very flavorful and so easy to use!
