Is there a money back guarantee if the bear attacks anyway?

Dear Grump,  While there is no money back guarantee, we would have to do extensive interviews with the bear to determine their motivation for the attack before making a decision on any possible refund.  Please ensure your next of kin have access to the receipt in the event you are unable to make the claim yourself.

Question 2

Does it work on any other predators like tigers. Leopard ?

I put the bells on my dogs collars and I can hear them for about a half mile away, so that the predators like bears or i would suppose tigers or leopards can hear them coming it then gives the bears or other predators time to get away. When a predator is startled or feels trapped or surprised that is when they are most dangerous. So I use them for the protection of my dogs as well as myself. Wevdo not have tigers or leopards in Montana but we have black bears and grizzly bears and mountain lions (cougars) and since using the bells I have not encountered any of them. Prior to the bells I have encountered all of them at one time or another.

Question 3

Would this work for mountain lions, too?  I think they avoid people if possible.

Accepted Answer

Not taking any potentially dangerous animal by surprise is good, so advance noise can prevent that. Problem bears or mountain lions can behave out of the norm and be aggressive, not just defenaive. Best to check with a game official in your area or where you are concerned about this. They can give you more complete information.

Question 4

How loud are these? I'm constructing a booby trap in front of my grill to scare bears away. Plan on putting bells on a bungee strap.

Use beer cans on some rope / fishing line. Best thing is to dig a air horn up. Use fishing line to a cotter pin that holds up a weight on the button one he trips the line the cotter pin pulls which drops the weight on the button giving a constant blast. Contraption will have to be crafted. Kydex is thermo modable or use pvc to wrap around the body and have the pin on that with a shaft weight about 1” long then strap it to a tree. Lots of ideas 💡 but I doubt a bell will be enough to detour a hungry curious bear 🐻. Good luck 🍀 also I recommend having bear spray.
