I’m pretty even-keeled about gear. I cook on a gas grill, a griddle I love, a Weber kettle, and a Weber Smokey/oven setup. Charcoal still gives me the best flavor, and my chicken legs over coals are usually solid. My whole-bird rotisserie is hard to beat—moist with that deep charcoal character. I didn’t think I needed anything else, but I picked up this rotisserie basket to see what it adds.What it adds is noticeably more moistness and very even cooking. It doesn’t turn chicken into something new; it just applies that rotisserie “self-basting” effect to pieces. Thighs and drumsticks come out juicy end-to-end, with fewer hot spots and less babysitting. Over charcoal, it smooths out flare-ups and keeps things on track; on gas, it still evens the cook nicely. I was surprised how consistently “rotisserie-moist” the pieces felt—repeatable in a way that’s hard to get over open grates.There’s a trade-off: capacity. Giving up the full grate for a basket means fewer servings per run. On a 22" kettle where I might feed 5–8 off the grate, the basket is more like 3–4. On a wider gas grill you can run two baskets to claw back some throughput, but it’s still less than a full-grate load.Day-to-day use is simple. Load, clamp, let it spin. Cleaning is fine—a soak and brush does it. I haven’t done fish yet, but I expect it to help with delicate pieces that usually stick or break.Do you need it? No. If you’re already nailing direct/indirect on charcoal or gas, keep doing that. This will still elevate it. But if you struggle a bit with dryness or unevenness, this takes a lot of the guesswork out and is more forgiving—timing windows feel wider, and “pretty good” becomes “consistently juicy.” For me, the upgrade in moistness and control justifies the space it takes. If the price works for you, it’s an easy add.I gave it to a friend who does pretty gas grill chicken quarter, I dot think he has take it out of the box.

I originally purchased a mesh basket for my rotisserie and found that it is best used for vegetables as the fine mesh impeded heat flow and would not yield a crispy skin on things like chicken wings. Plus, with glazed meats, a mesh is very hard to clean. This wire basket worked very well for that purpose. Capacity is limited, I was able to fit eight chicken thighs in the basket and that was about the limit, but for most of our cooks that's fine. The 'lid' is easily adjustable to hold in place whatever you're cooking. I look forward to cooking a rack of ribs and fish in this basket.Construction is overall good, with no sharp weld seams or burrs. It's not the sturdiest product, however, and it was packed horribly with the wire ends of the removable tray sticking through the cardboard box from the manufacturer. That resulted in receiving the products with a couple of bends in the wires. I was able to straighten these by hand, so no big deal, but still not a great way to pack the product. Packing and overall durability are what caused me to deduct a star from my rating.In my chicken thigh cook, I got exactly the result I was looking for - evenly cooked chicken with a nice crisp finish. Cleanup was pretty easy as the basket fit in my sink so I could soak it in warm, soapy water for an hour or so, which made cleanup with a scouring pad and brush easy. I put it in the dishwasher afterwards and it came out looking as good as new.For the price, it's a very good addition to anyone's rotisserie. I'm glad I bought it.

Easy to use. The best way I found at cleaning this basket is to get it in hot soapy water asap.

Perfect for small game etc.. I'd imagine it'd fit a spatchcock chicken, I'll be giving that a try soon. This item is pretty niche but perfect at the price point. Fits the Onlyfire rotisserie kit and Weber 22" kettle like a glove!

This Stainless Steel Only Fire rotisserie basket adds another way for you to enjoy your rotisserie by getting more cooked surface. I put 6 pounds of bone-in chicken thighs in the basket, and cooked over Kingsford Briquets. The meat finished still as tender, juicy, and flavorful as with regular rotisserie spit cooking. We've cooked Chicken, and Sausages so far and loved the results of the food. Cleaning will require a good dish brush for easiest cleaning. I think the spinning during cooking will not allow food to crust up on the basket. Ive had no problems cleaning it. The thumb screws are on the smaller size, But still work. Pictured are the screws that came with the basket compared to my Only Fire rotisserie (fork) screws. The Only Fire website does not offer the bigger screws for purchase. I have not really searched out alternatives screws. This makes a nice addition to our rotisserie cooking.

I use this with my Weber rotisserie grill kit. Just use, when done put in dishwasher. Easy adjustments. Easy cooking! Would recommend.

The product design is good but I received Chrome basket instead of the Stainless Steel basket that I ordered.
