You are purchasing one 3-8 inch tall (pot height is not included) Very Rare Purple Apple (Syzygium malaccense) Seedling Tree Starter Plant in 2.5'' square pot. Height: 20-60 ft. Hardiness: USDA Zone 10 Sun Exposure: Full Sun Foliage: Evergreen Dark sweet fruits! Malay apple is a strictly tropical tree and will be damaged by freezing temperatures. It thrives in humid climates. It is a large tree that gets loaded with bright magenta flowers. The combination of tree, flowers and fruit has been praised as the most beautiful of the genus Syzygium. The mountain apple is an edible fruit that can be consumed when raw and ripe. In Puerto Rico, the Malay apple is used to make wines, in Hawai'i, the fruits are consumed the same way a Pacific Northwest apple is eaten. Indonesians consume the flowers of the tree in salads and in Guyana the skin of the mountain apple is cooked down to make a syrup. Review: It arrived alive, very securely packaged with care and a lot of tape. - It came securely packaged with detailed care instructions. Very healthy little plant. I am enjoying watching it grow. Review: Came healthy - I’ve been looking for a Malay apple tree and found this one on desertcart. It’s really small so it will be a great years before it produces anything. It came well packaged with care details soil was still moist. I did put it in a bigger pot a few days later and it’s doing well. The picture posted is what it looks like after 3 months of buying it. Not sure if it’s known to grow slow or if it’s because it’s in the house vs outside but it’s under a grow light to help with the rays it needs. No bugs as well so that a plus and no infection if you’ve been looking definitely get it if you’re in no rush for apples it states from seed it takes 4-5yrs to produce vs grafted that takes 2 y

Package with love. Worth it.
You can tell this was packed by someone who loves plants. This was actually delivered at the wrong address so I didn’t receive it until 3 days later, I already gave up on it cause in my head this live plant is dead. While unwrapping it I noticed how carefully this was packed and felt relieved, happy and overly excited. I’ll come back and let you guys know how it goes.

Dead the next day
Came in a plain box not marked fragile or this side up or anything so the mailman shoved it in the mailbox where it sat for about 36 hours in the cold. When I finally found it and unpacked it, it was beautiful but leaves were droopy and it looked like it was struggling hard. I followed the directions that said this was "normal" but the next day it was dead as a door nail. Stem is super thin like a toothpick and roots are narrow/stringy, dont feel established in the container they sent it in and obviously grown inside with no wind/movement to help make it sturdy.

One plant died and the other is very fragile
One of the plants did not survive the mailing process. The other plant is very fragile and is barely alive.

Malay apple
It was my first time having a plant delivered to me through the mail but the plant came in great condition with instructions on how to transition it into new environment. I recommend this seller, they know what they’re doing
