Replaced my failed switch on my wall mounted garage vacuum. Perfect fit and easy to install. Only comment I would make is it doesn’t identify which way is up and i installed upside down. No big deal to fix…

I have an old craftsman 5 hp shop vacuum. I snapped off the toggle switch years ago and MacGyvered a finishing nail in its place. Worked for years, but finally failed. Thought my old girl was on its way to the land fill. Fortunately, when I looked at the switch, it had all the electrical specifications on it. This one was a perfect match. Came the next day, installed it, and it works perfectly. Go this route if necessary. It will save you tons of money.

Fit perfect, works perfect. Operates smoothly and easy. I replaced the switch in an older Craftsman 16gal 6.25 hp wet-dry vac (see photos). This switch is an exact replica. The original rocker switch no longer rocked between on and off.

It's a nice, common size switch you would find in most of today's electric devices. Pins were a bit soft and bent without much force. It also sparks fiercely when turning your device off. The specs are identical with the switch I removed, so the sparking is a head-scratcher. The rim has a rather large shoulder to squeeze itself tightly in it's hole. The arms are a little soft but it holds well enough. Anyhow, it fixed my bench grinder. I'm glad it worked.

Apart from the rocker switch being black instead of the original red, it matches the specs and fits perfectly. The Sears part is 823871 (sears part direct says not available and no substitute). You should be able to pry out the old one with small screwdrivers without disassembling the blower, move the electrical connects over to the new one and push it in. There's third slot for a contact that isn't there. I covered this with electrical tape before installing. It looks like junk got in there through that hole and trashed the switch.

I used this on my old Craftsman shop vac. I could not get the correct switch cover and the toggle switch that was used would always break when I used the shop vac. This switch is flat and won't break, and it fit my shop vac perfectly.

Used this for a Craftsman Bench Grinder, an older model, the Craftsman part was no longer available. Had to fabricate a mounting plate because this part was smaller dimensionally than the original, once installed it worked perfectly

This switch fit perfectly on my Ridgid shop vac. My vac is 15+ years Old from Home Depot. It had a red toggle switch that broke off. Installation was straightforward, as said on YouTube videos mark one of the screws and its relationship to the body so you can put it back together in the correct alignment. This saved me from buying a new vac .
