Can you use these for grilling gloves

I would not. They are meant to be used in the petroleum industry. They are not very well insulated for heat. They resist oil and other chemicals like that. If you use them in the kind of heat that a grill has you will get a hole in the glove very quickly.

They are triple dipped, so if any gloves are going to be I would think it is these. If you are going to handle something that has gas on it I would think so. if they are going to be submerged in gas, I don't know.

how big are these gloves- width across palm?

They run big. I bought XL and while they fit, they’re on the large side of XL
