I'm getting audio/video dropouts with this player connected to my yamaha receiver then on to a sony a8h oled. happens with cd's and dvd's. any ideas?

Mine is doing the same thing when I put in a regular Old DVD like Days of Thunder, or Minority Report I get black bars all the way around, I get frequent dropouts of the picture and sound and a small picture in the middle. No idea why, but if I put in the Latest Star Trek DVD with Chris Pine that gets upscaled to 4K and looks fantastic. I played a just out 4K UHD DVD of the new Top Gun Maverick and it played flawlessly with incredible sound and picture except that I had to turn color saturation all the way down, maybe I got a bad one donno. It seems it will upscale 1080P content to 4k but not the older DVDs as they show as a window in the middle of the screen. yeah, ridiculous. Am I supposed to keep 2 DVD players now?
