Bought this for my child with sensory needs. It’s the perfect size to use in the car, on lap while sitting, or for snuggle time and lay this on his back for that extra pressure/comfort.

So I bought this weighted lap blanket since my 3 year old shows and has more of the sensory spectrum of autism. So as probably other moms that deal with this daily we want to find ways to help our child either stop bad “habits “ as some ABA therapist might insinuate they have. Or just to help our child relax. Either to help make car rides to the store a little more calm. Where they are not kicking the seats or trying to escape from the car seat, or hitting who Evers in the car so forth. Since they state weighted blankets, vest, so forth help most autistic children. Well I thought this 5 pound lap blanket would do the trick and perhaps solve my problems lol. Actually my child hates it . He wants nothing to do with it . I like it. It’s soft. It feels good texture wise, keep in mind I’m a adult here . Yet I put it on his lap in the car and 2 seconds later it was on the floor. He doesn’t care for it. So I use it and idk what I’m supposed to feel but I feel comfortable. Like I want to nap lol. So for me it was a no go. On the autism spectrum side. As for me having to use it now as my own bc I’m not going to trash it lol I wish it was longer. Yet it’s for little kids lol. So what didn’t work for me, might work for you. Since all autistic children are different. I really hope maybe down the line he grows fond of it. For now I don’t have nothing negative to say about this weight lap blanket.

I would put this over my boys legs when it was time to put him down for a (supervised) nap and he was being fussy. Definitely helped him calm down.
